agreed - a few car forums I know of delete this crap as soon as it's posted or it's moved to "the Pit" etc....

Well... there is a section of the forums just for political "discussions" but it's not for the timid

(and as for avatars, they are global - whatever you select to use is used in every section and there's (currently) no way to pick and choose where they're seen)

He's got a 67 Big Block so I'd think he knows a thing or two about cars. I hate politics but ya never know when you might need some support.

Who knows maybe Joe convinced the pres to loan GM the money and if not there would be no C7.

You all need to look at things more positive and get off your ego horses!!!!!!!!!

What discounts, is Obama offering a free C7 with every Obamacare Sign Up? That will motivate the slackers for sure.

Seriously, do you think the new Z06 will make Base C7 Prices tumble?
Completely different prospective Buyer and Price Point.
Nah, you're thinking of Dick Cheney, HE'S the VP that shoots people.

"So easy to drive, even a caveman could do it"

Just because you grew up riding on the short bus doesn't mean you can drive a C7 Z06.

I can hear the conversation now,
"This is a beautiful car and its NOT FAIR that only wealthy folks are able to afford one, evryone should have one too!" "

"But Mr Vice President, If we gave out free Corvettes GM would go out of business!"

"So let them! its a huge greedy corporation anyway!"

"But the US Govt owns it!"

(Insert a Rosann Rosannadana puzzled look) "Nevermind"

You're right, they're just a couple of guys trying to fundamentally change our country and everything it was founded on and what it stands for....not really a big deal.

Got it
As if this forum was dumbass free? Plenty of people showing their colors every day. If the VP is a member of this forum right now he'd fit right in.

Comments not directed to anyone in specific:

Please note that I'm not calling the VP anything derogatory. I'm just saying this is a perfect case of the pot calling the kettle black.

The president and VP are individuals that deserve our respect. You do not know someone unless you've walked a thousand miles in their shoes. Try not to pretend you know better than the person who's actually doing the job. Then take a minute to stuff your comments about 'doing the job' because you wouldn't make them if you could comprehend the statements made above...

Can we move to to talking about Corvettes now? Please?

Say what you will about him, but he is a "car junkie" who owns a '67 Stingray.
Beat me to it. Biden did an interview with Car & Driver where he talked about his Goodwood-green 1967 Corvette 327/350hp.

Politics aside, you've got to admire the man's fine taste in cars.

Not necessarily. I've got a 72 LT-1 and a 60th Anniversary 427 Vert, and I still don't know jack about cars.

Wrong. The Treasury Department sold the last of their GM shares on December 8th.

In a democracy the people get the government they deserve. At least he knows his colors.

Not sure if that's it, or that I haven't learned how not to buy them.

You're not a Bird Hunter I presume.

I've met Cheney, I would trust him with more than a Shotgun.
As for Biden, I wouldn't trust him to pickup my Dog's Poop, but that's just me.

To each his own. Sorry for the interruption, didn't mean to start a discussion about the current state of the former Republic.

Now, back to Corvettes, something we can all agree on.
