Default How many miles are on your C7 / Initial thoughts based on seat time

How many drivers vs collectors do we have on here? What initial thoughts do you have after your seat time?

Ours just hit 2700 miles.

Great technology, and overall handling.

Wish the seat could adjust a little more....6'6" and is pretty tight.

Rear tire choice from factory was horrible. Does not hook in first 2 gears.

Eco drive to me is useless. I have tried the cruise on straight highways using various modes. Used 7th gear cruise in Eco mode vs Touring mode at 70-80moh and no difference in gas mileage, or very negligible.

7th gear is useless. Gas mileage from 6th to 7th at 75 mph is no difference either.

Faster you go the better the suspension feels..car squats down and really cuts through the wind, and elements.

Gear shifting is flawless, and precise.

Clutch is harder to use than the LS7 clutch...My Wife does not have confidence in the C7 yet, but drives my car with the LS7 clutch easily.

Classic, World class looks.

62 miles on C7 Quad B, Black paint, interior, top, wheels. I may have a mileage problem. Had a C2 for 13 yrs put on about 19K miles but it saw 11 States. Had a American Ironhorse Texas Chopper for 3 yrs put on 44 miles.

Z51 A6. Just short of 5,000 miles.

I have really enjoyed it on the street, but where it really shines is the track. Took it to an autocross last weekend, expecting to lag behind the many Porsches there on the tight parts of the course.
Not so. The Vette kicked ***.

Handling was superb. The five different variations of Track Mode are a real treat. I did OK up to Sport 1 level. Beyond that, I kept losing the back end. Clearly I need to up my skills to fully utilize this car.

I am having an immense amount of fun with this car!

Picked mine up Christmas eve. Drove 175 miles home. Now has 350 miles, weather an issue in Missouri. Couple days above 50 degrees. Z51, 7 speed. Rides great, very comfortable and love the steering response. No complaints. Has been a little scary the couple times I have put my foot into it. Wants to jump out from under you compared to my 77 vet w/ performance engine.

1500 miles and some minor gripes

1) I agree with previous poster that the rear tires feel like driving on ice when below 40 degrees
2) I got one rattle at 500 miles in the left rear cargo, a second rattle at 1000 miles near the cup holder, and a third recently above the rear view mirror. They are really annoying!
3) Tire chatter in tight turns is really bad when temp is below 40 degrees and goes away above 60 degrees in my experience
4) Radio screen has flickered 5 times, starting at 600 miles. It is fixed when I lower and raise the screen.
5) I am noticing minor wear on the left upper bolster from getting in and out. I think at 50,000 miles I will have to repair the leather.

Your profile doesn't say where you are.

Maybe it is too cold for your tires to grip well?

I'm at 1,400 miles-no complaints. Love driving the car as often as I can.

I am in Houston. With traction control off the tires are useless..car tries to go for the nearest ditch. Think GM should have thought that part through a little more, and gone to a better (stickier tire), and a bit larger (wider). I have an LS1 car with a blower/nitrous, and it will spin but is predictable. This car not the case...need more competitive driving seat time, but a tire swap to a better performance, and wider tire are imminent.

I also am putting a blower on this car, so preparing for that as well.

3,000 miles. No problems of any kind other than the orange peel. A much better car than my C6.

1200 miles, Std Coupe, A-6. Best 0-60 time so far 4.0. Temperature sensitive tires but the ride is great. Spent time getting the tire air pressure dialed in at 30lbs warm. Rides great. All electronics work as expected. Paint is great with only minor OP on the front side fenders. Just as importantly, the wife LOVES the car - our 4th and best Corvette.

Since you and I are the same height I'm wondering if you wish you had ordered the A6. I wanted the M7 but was fearful I would be pressing my luck with any long rides. I understand at our height you must learn to be comfortable enough in some cars and that's the way it is. But since you said it's tight can you manage with the M7 trans. Or would you switch if you had to do it over again. Thanks for the advice.

Well, it takes some getting used to, but is doable. My left knee does hit the end of the dash a bit while shifting, but I have learned to operate pretty well. There is a hatch, and motion sensor button about where my left knee hits...fortunately the motion sensor is the one impacted, and the hatch button is on the far side....periodically I will brush against it and the motion sensor will come on, and chime...my wife will say, what was that..and my response is always my damn knee hit the motion sensor button again...lol

Thanks for the quick response. I've been looking for any reason to switch to the M7 and this is really all I needed is doable. Because I've been doing doable for a while now. Once again thanks.

Picked up end of Sept and just turned 5800 trouble free miles yesterday. I LOVE this car!
