So what is it like at freeway speeds with the top off with windows down and how is it with the windows up?
I have ridden in older vetts that seem to trap the air in the trunk area and cause a lot of turbulence and pressure in the cabin. With the new design of the windshield and lower rear deck is it much different from C5s or C6s at 70mph?
I have always been a convertible guy but after seeing the new Z I am drooling over it with the removable top. Thanks for the info!

With the windows down, It is very similar to a traditional convertible with a windscreen. Only the top of my head gets heavy wind (I'm 6'2"). Its windier than an SL500 convertible with the windscreen up, but less windy that a G37 convertible with the windscreen up. Hope this helps.

There is, for me, essentially no air turbulence or air pressure discomfort. I am 6'2" tall and other than an increased noise level, I notice no adverse conditions related to having the top out. In fact, having to drive with the top in the car for me is a disappointment. Running with the top removed is my preferred mode. The heater in this car is sufficient to keep the cabin warm even with the top out at temperatures at least down to 40°, actually pretty cozy.
In general, if it is not raining, my top is in the trunk.
Riding around with the top out of this car for me is nirvana.

I just drove 3hrs with the top off the other day, Compare to my C6 the noise has been reduced dramatically and buffering is not a problem at all ( At least to me )

Too much buffeting and noise at interstate speeds for me, I do love it for highway speeds and down. I will have to say that I have had several convertibles and targa top cars over the years and I did not like any of them with the top down at interstate speeds for a long period of time. All were ok for a short interstate trip, but not a long one.

I am now thinking about the C7 Z06/7 and just wondering about the buffeting.
Anyone else notice an improvement?
Someone at the shop told me the engineers have added some vents to open once the top comes off, but I haven't read anything about this, so I am doubting it.

Well if it would stop raining for 10 minutes I might get to take mine off and experience it. I had a C6 vert for the last 4 years so that is what I will compare against.

It's nice. I'm 6'4" I don't notice any wind turbulence. With the windows up its pretty smooth. I don't know about down to 40, but with the windows up heat on and heated seats it's comfortable into the 50's.

I have a C7 Coupe and a '13 GS Convertible, with windscreen. The c7 is quieter and less turbulent with the top off than the GS with Top down and windscreen up.

I was looking for feedback on the Coupe with the top off, specifically, but I appreciate the enthusiasm!
I also just saw the video about the vent for the hatch. It said that it closes when the hatch closes, but nothing about opening back up when the top is removed.

My wife says that driving a vert, any vert, with the top down and windows up should be against the law. She's right. If the top is down on my C7 or her Shelby GT500 vert the windows are down.
Wind buffeting is much less in mine than hers.
