“Now the question on the Z06 isn’t going to be whether we’ll be able to exceed the performance of the Z06 or even the ZR1,” Juechter said. “The truth is how far are we going to obliterate the track records of those previous generation cars?”

Why does Tadge always have to belittle the previous year car. I think it's a bush league approach to show the power of the new cars. After all if we didn't buy the previous year cars he would have no current car to build. Granted I'm not bitter because I don't drive my car hard to begin with but the way Tadge goes about trying to make his point on the new cars superiority is total BS and a slight at all the previous corvette owners who bought cars so Tadge could have a job!

I think it looks better than the stingray especially in the yellow and black color which is how the camaro appeared in transformers but I don't like it enough to buy one and by the time the C8 comes out I will be thinking about what I want to do as a retired person and not wanting to spend a chunk of change on a new Vette.
I have enough vehicles to drive that my C6 won't be worn out when I retire.
It is an improvement though. It is hard to take a icon and make the sales trend upward when they have been in decline for a long time. Look at Budweiser how many younger people drink that compared to all the other choices they have now. Same with cars...young people are not lifetime brand loyal.

No mention of weight. Lets just gloss over the important figures. Its going to need the extra 120hp to move the extra weight. The 14Z51 already weighs 3500......without the added weight of the bigger rims/tires, supercharger, brakes, etc. Maybe they could make the frame out of aluminum to help get the weight down? Oh wait they have done that already. How much does an auto 8sp weigh?
