Listen chicken hawk.....I LOVE that you come in here and post.....
You make it too easy for me to make you look pathetic....you provide tons of comic relief here....don't ever leave.
I don't expect you to understand what I just typed because you are a blubbering idiot
.....Maybe Mike Tyson can explain it to you at your next algebra class for the challenged

And who the hell runs on a 9 year old cam for example? Equal would be both cars running the same cam lol. See..a ZR1 has a supercharger but the C7 dont. Can we add a supercharger..so that it would be more fair?
And I would gladly do the trip from Europe to US just so I can see someone trying to launch a Z06 or a ZR1 equipped with C7s 285 Michelin Super Sports.

I and couple others have said that a C7 A6 might be quicker than a Z06 when you take R/T and driver skill etc etc into consideration.
Yeah It is embarrassing but its the perfect example. True...we got a lot of flame for that statement..and now with that video...things arent looking good

The funny thing is that WE'RE not the ones making you look like a fool, YOU are.

Scraping the splitter.
Any of the C6 Z06 owners in this thread care to share what they ran with their own cars in stock form?

See here's the difference which I'm sure you're well aware of, just because a car can achieve a certain 1/4 mile time or 0-60 that doesn't necessarily mean that the owner of that car is capable of it. One factory test driver did 10 runs and the manufacturer posted the best time, PERIOD. The car in the hands of a different driver may have been able to top that time on a different day at a different location. There is no absolute scientific measure of a car's true speed/time performance because there are too many variables involved. So if you're able to produce a 12.XX 1/4 someone may be faster, someone will be slower. Perhaps what everyone can agree on is that these times are maybe within a few 10ths of a second give or take of what the car is actually capable of.

10.89 with et streets. There was also a c7 there that ran a best of 11.8 with sticky tires

It doesn't matter man, some people just don't understand.

At Bradenton, I ran an 11.90 @ 122.95( totally stock) in 80 degree weather. 2.06 60 ft
That was prior to trading it in for my C7. That was the best of 3 runs that day.
I was running BS RE 050A runflats with 23,000 miles on them !...and the car had 48,500 miles on it.

Scraping the splitter.
I'm interested in stock cars on either a stock or replacement tire (not slicks or DR's).

Oh come on, you guys quit the crap. less weight, more power and lower times. Nobody is saying a great driver in a C7 couldn't beat a bad driver in a C6Z. Sure, point taken. Fact is stock for stock the C7 just falls a little short, same day, equal/same drivers. And I really dig the C7, I'm not partial to any flavor Vette. Just because I own a C6Z and have an opinion I must be a C7 hater. It's old really, and just plain lame on this forum to get called out because you understand the laws of physics. It's not an opinion anymore, the cars are out there, the times are out there, it's over. Now the C7Z comes out Monday and we all will crap ourselves with excitement.
The point which most don't seem to understand (and Dr. Ron and other C6Z owners have pointed out in other threads) is that the A6 C7 is a very easy car to run mid-11's in on a repeatable basis. I have already stated in this thread that I would expect same day, same track a C6Z to be faster (assuming a good driver).
I do have to laugh a little bit that even though the base C7 shouldn't be compared to the C6Z, it is. And the C7Z is right around the corner. I'm looking forward to moving from my Z51 to a Z06.

You and I both know that the incoming base car is always compared to the outgoing higher end car.
#314
Scraping the splitter.
The C6 was compared to the outgoing C5Z because they both have a similar displacement LSx engine and it was somewhat valid.
Was the C5 compared to the C4 ZR1?
Was the C4 compared to the C3 L82 (well maybe)?
The C6Z's performance is a much bigger leap over the base C6 than the C5Z's was over the base C5. So IMO, it's not really a valid comparison.

Just as the C6 was compared to the C5Z
And the C7 has been compared to the C6Z.
I'll put some good money on a long term bet too.. The C8 will be compared to the C7Z, if there is one..

How much do you think a c7 would pick up with a set of sticky tires over street tires?
