Default First C7 spotted almost crashed

So I was sitting at the light behind my first C7 spotting. As I am drooling and staring and taking it all in, I notice he is instigating the mustang next to him. Revving up the engine and trying to trying to get him to bite. Conclusion was funny as hell and very lucky for himself and the innocent people. Light turns green and he takes off making a left turn onto the highway. Car whips around and he loses it and it missed the center divider by inches. Car stopped parallel only inches from the divider facing the opposite direction. Sorry no pics, I was too busy watching and laughing at him. Driver looked to be around 21 and he looked like he saw a ghost and dropped a deuce. Thought I would share. lmao

After owning numerous vetes, never ever floor it unless it is pointing straight.

I must agree 100 percent. Either it was way too much power for him or no experience or both.

Too much car for most people. Nannies enabled or not. For the rest of us, there is no such thing as too much.

Complete stupidity. First off, its usually is the mustangs who try to get vettes to run. Then there are the idiots like in the video, who have no idea how to drive a performance car. There is a time and place and I only wish they knew where it is.
My neighbor down the street used to say his C5 could take my supercharged GTO anytime. When I said lets go to the track, he proceeded to tell me about some back road he used to king of the road to wanted to run me because he might get niches at the track. I just laughed at him.

Lol, He actually was probably terrified to pass and not because of the power the C7 brought to the light. More because he was probably terrified of the idiot driver. That's one way to win a race, beat him off the line then just block the road right after.

Fortunately, most Corvette drivers are mature enough not to play the street racing game, so the insurance on a C7 is still affordable compared to a Mustang. Most people don't realize you can insure a more expensive C7 cheaper than a GT Mustang largely due to age (maturity) of the drivers which results in fewer claims.

It takes skill to lose control of a car with only 400rwp + nannies

I don't get it..

A bunch of high HP cars got together for a "spirited" drive last summer. There were a couple of turbo Mustangs along that were getting their cars sideways and weaving through traffic like fools. The Corvettes, Ferraris, Vipers, etc. acted responsibly (relatively speaking)

MOST people that age don't have the experience to handle a car like this, or the maturity to own one. He definitely pinched a loaf with that one.

Back in 85 I sold my 81 Z-28 to buy my 80 Corvette. I was shocked when my insurance as 1/3 as much for the vette. I asked and was told, almost no claims on Vetts as drivers were mature and responsible, and lots of claims on z-28's do to young drivers and irresponsibility.
