This technology looks pretty cool and will supposedly be available on 2015 models.

I just wonder if the insurance/LEO people will be able to access it somehow without a warrant.

Wow it's super cool but way overkill for 99% of the drivers. Still, it's great.

Wow. I like it. Too bad I ordered a 2014 and can't get it;-(
Anyhow, looks like a killer app for anyone who tracks their car. Cosworth bought Pi data recording and they make some of the best data logging software.

I think it would be really cool as well but if this link http://www.drsmotorsport.com/product...cd-data-logger is a price indicator then it won't be on a high number of cars used as daily drivers. But maybe they've worked a 'quantity' deal with GM.

If it is recorded someone can access it. In an accident we already have an event recorder tied to the airbag system (think 30 seconds). Now couple that data to long term, I can't imagine the legal ramifications. Don't want it.

A must if you track your car.

We already have Onstar and built in GPS. Several components are already recording this data. The only new part would be the video.
