Default Well I made my worst financial decision in my 30 years of life

But man am I excited ! After much debate on trying to hold out for the c7 z06 I came to the conclusion it was way way way to much money.

This will be my first new car. I ordered it in
Z51 2LT Artic white with black rims carbon flash mirrors/spoiler adrenalin red inside decided against competition seats in favor of the 2lt the GT seats are 10000x better than the c6's

And most of all I really liked the full length carbon flash stripe. I know some don't like it but I do

And I sprung for the nameplate with my name on it as well. Buying new is crazy but hey ya only live once right ? This will be my 5th Vette it was this or a 10 GTR the brand new factor and it's overall sexiness won me over

Obviously, you didn't buy any real estate in 2008.

Congrats on the car!!!

Msrp was $66,240 I believe that's with the transparent roof and battery trickle charger in addition to the above stuff. No payments cash this time around.

Your title reflects my position. My current Corvette I bought with 3K on the clock and after 3 years I'll only be looking at dropping 3K-4K. Just got off the phone and I'm looking at getting a Laguna Blue Z51, but your car has got me thinking. Never been a white car guy but damn, that looks great!

not a bad financial decision if you paid all in cash then. Unless you tapped into your retirement savings or something LOL

Same here... thing is, this car looks good in any color. we (wife and I) have gone through every color saying 'ok we're getting this color' lol.

Ok....This is just a interesting Option for many who want to consider this....It is not ME attempting any "Shine on me moment"....it is just how i am acquiring my C7.
I take the $75Gs after tax for Z51 etc etc etc
Plant that 75Gs in townhouse, Carry a mortage at 3.5% and get 1600 income monthly.....That provides enough Dough to pay the cost of the 75Gs sitting on a line of Credit and when that line is paid off in 5 years, I still have the 75Gs sitting in that townhouse and the equity has gone up and the mortage is down 30gs or more too.

thus, handing over 75Gs in 5 years represents? in value.
Putting 75Gs into a Passive Residual Rental Property creates income and maintains my 75Gs in a safe place.
Could be a great way for many to pay for their Vette.
And if you have 75Gs to just throw at it...awesome and enjoy the Car...Cant wait to see the Z in Detroit in January...Thats what I have been waiting on...

Congrats!!! Best mistake ever, isn't it? Great color combo. Hope I won't make the same mistake twice now that the C7 Z is on the horizon.

Enjoy!!
