Default any one got 1LT and regretted not getting 2LT?

Today I went to criswell and I was making decisions evading my order as my allocation is coming soon. I'm getting Z51 with black wheels and red interior.
I did test drive the car and it is amazing. The exhaust is remarkable.
I'm still not sure about 1lt vs 2lt. I don't believe it us worth 4k. I like the matching red console, stitching and armrests, home link. I don't care much about the rest of 2lt. any one got 1LT and regretted not getting 2LT?
Thanks

I ordered a 1lt and when I found out I would be waiting another 5 months I jumped on a2lt and never looked back. I like the extra speaker and the hud.

After having one on both my C5Z and C6, I would NEVER have a Vette without the HUD

(in fact, I feel naked driving a car without one now! )

I have more of a track perspective for my c7 order but at the end of the day....
  • Cooled seats for summer and track. Great to have. Even with windows down at a trackday, on a blistering hot day... cooled seats are great.
  • Heated seats for fall and spring (especially in Chicago). Come out of a restaurant on a very cold night into a c7, turn on heated seats, and cruise through the concrete jungle as gf enjoys the experience. Great to have!
  • Better sound system always great to have
  • HUD not needed but nice to have
  • Color matched center console and trim - nice to have

None of this is needed which is why many people are more than happy with 1LT. For those that wouldn't mind paying an extra 20 bucks on a monthly or can just pay upfront. 2LT, in my eyes, is a must. Only change I would make to 2LT... make navi standard on 2LT not 3LT. I think everyone could better justify 2LT.

If I got 1LT I would definitely regret it... which is why I changed my desired order to 2LT. Rationalized and caught that change early.

I know one guy (not on the forum) who wished he had the 2LT instead of one. He says he misses the HUD he had on his earlier Vette.

He loves the car anyway though.

I have the 1LT and I don't regret it. Like the prior poster, maybe I don't know what I am missing. I have never had HUD, so I don't miss it. I did order the Nav. As to the sound system, I listen to all types of music including hip hop, and so bass is a must. I was initially concerned that I would not have enough bass because it has one less subwoofer than the 2LT. However, even the system in the 1LT is too boomy. I have it up at less than 75%. So the sound system is in the 1LT is fine IMHO.
I have the red interior and I was not sure if I would like the red center console, but now that I have it....if anything, I would not mind having that because in the 1lt, only the seats are red.
One more concern I had was the Homelink, which I really really needed. Well, I went on ebay and bought a used unit for $25. I soldered a 9v wire into it and plugged a 9v in and it works perfect! I made a box for it, and put it in the storage behind the Nav screen: problem solved!
As for heated and ventilated seats, I think I can live without it. I have never had ventilated seats before. As to heated seats, here in Central CA, it has gotten to 27 degrees in the morning (which is very unusual), and I find that that heater in the C7 is incredibly effective, so I have not missed heated seats.

With the Red interior, I think the 2LT is a must. I ordered a 1LT at first, and later changed it to a 2LT after seeing a few in person. I'm glad my order was delayed, because I don't think I would have been happy with the 1LT,because of the stitching.

I asked Mike at criswell to let me know when there is 1LT in stock so I can look at it and see if the difference is worth it in person. I like the red console and red stitching with 2lt. I wish GM had those options more individualized. Thanks for your input.

Looking Down at the gauges in a sports car is annoying. Takes your eyes off the road as well as I find myself not paying attention to the speed and usually end up going faster than the posted speed limit w/o HUD

Also don't forget lumbar support, HUGE plus for me also.

As far as price, it cost $4k more but you should get at least $2k back if you resold it in the next 2-3 years.

Other people have said it, but the HUD alone is worth it, of course that is my opinion. You know what they say, once you go HUD you never go...uh...back... I guess...

There is no way that a HUD, which I had on my C5 and have now on my C6 is worth $ 4200.00 !!! Heated seats & mirrors in SW Florida? As for me I can live without them and I never have or will buy a car to trade it later. Keep in mind that $ 4200 will buy you the Z51 and the NPP exhaust options with $ 205.00 left over. Plus, it's just a matter of time before you'll see someone offering aftermarket HUD install's for the C7 for a lot less loot. But, if you have money to throw away, go ahead get the 2LT or even the 3LT for over 8 grand!!

BTW that large digital speedo readout will work just like a HUD anyway which you actually read with your inderect vison.

What's $4,000 over your ownership of the car? Even over 5 years it's only $800 per year, a no brainer. People spend more money on coffee or cigarettes. Enjoy life, it's over before you know it.

HUD & heated seats are must haves for me.

HUD - because it adds so much to the driving experience

Heated Seats - I like riding with the roof off. On chilly mornings or evenings the heated seats allow you to enjoy top off experience without freezing.

I bought the 2LT on my 07 C6 and regretted it. So, I went for the 3LT on the C7. If price is not a big issue for you, more is better.

If you want performance it is the best bang for the buck
