C7 mpg

Best 25 mile average recorded was 41.5 mpg with cruise set @60 mph. Also, did 25 mile average segments with cruise set @ 70 mph and averaged 34.6 mpg in 7th gear & ECO mode.
Over the 2800 miles I have driven the car, I have an average of 22.3 mpg. Believe me, most of these miles were NOT in ECO mode and included many "demonstration" rides!

Non-Z51, manual transmission. Today I drove some freeway miles at posted speed limits (gasp!). 65 and 70 MPH. About 30 miles each direction. Passenger in the right seat and full fuel tank.
I alternated between gears 6 and 7 as seemed appropriate and kept it in ECO mode. Certainly not trying to hypermile and the roadway had normal wavy elevation changes up and down, but no big hills. Averaged over 30 MPG in both directions. 33.4 one way and 31.8 coming back.
Find me another performance sports car that does that!

I think GM may understate their highway numbers sometimes. Because in my c6 they rated at 26 for M6 and if I was on trips I would easily get 29 and it seems everyone gets better than advertised numbers

I have an A6 and in eco mode going down the interstate I was only getting 22.5mpg. On the 4 lane side roads crusing at 65 I was getting 25mpg. I dont seem to be getting the mileage that everyone else is.

Are you using a lower octane fuel or possible a fuel with a higher percentage of ethanol?

Lifetime of over 24 and as high as 29 on the interstate. Awesome in my opinion.

Just around 1,000 miles and over all mpg is about 28. That's with an A6 and about 50/50 interstate and around town. Interstate is mostly in Eco mode and around town in Touring.

My 'B' odo has not been changed since delivery (about 4000 miles ago) and is registering 21.1, considering the way I've been driving it and that most of the miles are city and (throttle sprints ), I'm very happy with that. On the highway tho, my A6 on cruise and level road holds pretty steady around 36mpg at 70 mph. No issues with the mileage, can't wait for a solid trip to really check it.

The trip home from BG to California was about 2200 miles. I did not reset "Trip A" and it showed 24.9 MPG with an average speed of 75 MPH when I got home. The first 500 miles were varied speed/RPM for break-in. After the break-in it was mostly Eco mode at 75MPH+. Much of Texas has a posted speed limit of 80MPH and NM and AZ are both 75MPH.
For comparison I went on a 215 mile drive yesterday with about 150 miles of mountain canyons and my average MPG was 18.

Is everyone believing the mileage the car gives you or do you fill-up and compute it from your mileage? My Z06 computer always reads about 2.5 mpg better than actual.

25.9 during the 437 mile drive home, to be fair I did vary the speed some. This is in 7th gear running 75-80MPH in ECO mode. I expect it to get better on the next trip. My old C6Z06 with 600HP would get 25.7 on the road.

So if I were to try that same highway run in a C7 I bet I could easily get over 40 MPG. I suggest those of you who are disappointed with your mileage to try running non ethanol gas if they sell it in your area.

I have 2,600 miles and my average is 19.0 MPG. This is with allot of City driving and also one half day at the road course. Average to work and back is 24 MPG. Best long trip in eco mode was 27 MPG so I also am not getting the type of milage that others are getting but still very impressed

I have an M7 and I'm not getting the kind of numbers posted here either. But I only use ECO on the expressway, spend very few miles on the expressway and I drive the car. Meaning it's a performance automobile and that's how I drive it. Sure, I'm interested in mpg, but it sure wasn't much of a factor in buying the car and it's pretty much the last thing I take into consideration when I drive it.

M7 with non ethanol gas is going to be considerably higher than 10% ethanol and an A6 for those trying to compare results that others are having.
Curious how many are going off the DIC vs calculating at the pump as well if they don't mind stating.
