Maybe sometime in the near future.
He can lick his wounds for now.

It's not going to get any better for the C6 from a roll. In fact, it'll very likely be worse.
My buddy's '13 GT500 got creamed by my '13 GT-R from a dig, but walked the GT-R pretty damn hard from a roll as he traps 5-6 mph faster.

Because you made it seem like C7 owners had big heads. Then, you get smacked down at the track. You were quiet for a little while. Now, it's about how the C7 can't take C6Z. This has NOTHING to do with the thread. Your thread ended when you got owned at the track. Suck it up, take it like a man, and just let it go. You are a crying baby at this point.

FYI I'm not saying the C6 is faster than the C7. That would be stupid. I don't think they will "Smoke","Murder","Walk" an LS3 like a Z06 would though.
so, when you posted this challenge, did you think it would end up being among the most popular of all time for the forum?

He is somewhat in awe of how well our C7 A6's run at the track. FWIW...he said his best stock time was 12.6.
Don't worry, I'm quite sure you're trying to find a reason for why you were so wrong in your "1-2 cars" C7 advantage prediction.

Using this post only as a reference and nothing to do with the race results. Just curious why no one has commented on why the guy with the GS would run a ZR1 wheel/ tire set up? Those chrome 19/ 20's are no advantage at all in a 1/4 mile. Stock 18" / 19" 5 spoke GS wheels would be better

Not sure...maybe aesthetics. They are a nice looking setup.
They also weren't chrome, they were gloss black. Like the attached pic. He was parked by me and I looked at the rear tire. It was a Michelin PSS 335-25/20.

Here's a pic of his car that was posted on OSW's Facebook.
Nice realistic guy who spends lots of time at the track.

I'd come down for the event on the 26th, but I'll be up north. I'm hoping Fikse and crew put something together in February.

Does anybody see a C6 anywhere in this picture (that's a C7 driver's side rear bumper circled)?

Those are so heavy esp in chrome. The one and only mod so far was
to remove them and save 20 plus pounds of rotating weight. Over 5 maybe even six pounds each saving's on the big rear going to a mono block forged wheel.
For a drag racer to sport those is not smart. It has to cost at least a couple tenths.

Reading this thread makes me want to get a A6.

but then I think about driving my M6 Z06, and reminds me how much fun it can be when I drive spirited

then I remember how horrible it is driving it in traffic as an everyday car.

lol

nice thread, if anything I learned the auto C7s are 11 second cars

Do you actually have any data to prove that the gloss black ZR1 wheels on his car are any heavier than the stock Grand Sport wheels or are you just guessing?
And LMFAO at "20 plus pounds of rotating weight" being worth "at least a couple tenths".

Thanks! She is awesome! After 5 years of bushwacking with no production during her hour to 2 hours out in the early am she finally
brought in a little bird and placed it by me.
So I went to the pet store and now she sports a collar with a bell.
Should not allow a house cat to catch birds. The birds have enough problems.
This cat fetches like a dog and will dive off the steps chasing stuff then brings it back.

I was making an informed comment nothing directed at you either!

Do you have any "data" that they aren't plus who said anything about a Grandsport wheel?
I was comparing to a MONO BLOCK FORGED
Least think a second before you chirp!
Plus rotating weight removed makes more impact than you taking 20 pounds off the seat!
Less weight for the torque of the engine to turn.
ON Each rotation so after 1/4 mile it adds up!
Yes those wheels slow your car down.
