Wow seeing how the C7 just WALKS the C6 even after the C6 got out of the hole first was all I needed to see

GM did not disappoint with the C7! Let's not forgot the insanely improved road course improvement i.e. handling, as well as an interior that now matches this century.

Isn't the C7 Z06 rumored to have an auto 8-speed? That thing will straight up rip down the 1320

Nice Runs, So the race between SDatl404 and VNAMVET, SD actually red-lighted. Missed that on the previous post. Great to see the C7 run so strong, Congrats to all of you.

Bottom line is the C7 is the faster car regardless... you know that regardless of the "tire" argument More power under the curve by a large margin before we even talk about traction... the same as a Z07 to 4,500 RPM if I recall correctly. That advantage is much more than traction and higher stall. Snorman's C7 is faster than modded C6s let alone stock ones.
You mean "with" traction and higher stall!
M-7 to M-6 would be closer!
Snormans faster is than than a lot of modded C6's.
Although after a refreshing look at the LS3 fast list external engine mods
he would be about 10th out of 50 or so cars.
Snorman looked Pretty Quick compared. I was able to do 11.98 @ 120.XX with only a 2.02 60ft!
Track prep was horrible
With headers and tune 428 rwhp
C7 is Auto is showing well!

Normally your pretty quick on the react time.
No doubt of the outcome! Your video shows the extra power part along with the rest of the story.
I wasn't sleeping at the tree, I cut a .028 light. He red-lighted.

Snorman, two questions.

Is that the standard lens on the GoPro HD camera?

Being I did not hear the revs come up on your runs, are you flashing the converter at the last yellow?

Great consistant runs by both you and VNAMVET.

c6z traps 125

c7 traps what 118?

c5 zo6 traps 118 as well.

The people who think a c7 will run with a c6 zo6 are clueless. Sure 2 drivers and the c6z can loose.. But put the same driver in each car with same transmission its c6z all day. The trap speed tells you how much power the car is making.

and I was having shifting issues with my hydraulics hence the slow shifts. I put a tilton master car could've went 11.3 easy. But I changed the setup after that day with a heads cam pkg and went faster.

It wasn't. Had long tubes and a tune and was on a tire. ONLY making 380s RWHP. The day wasn't perfect either neither were the passes. Also we all know ranger went 11.6 11.7 in a bone stock c5 zo6 too. Just like how snorman did. You got to remember the zo6 only weighs 3100lbs for the c5 generation.

But thank you for the compliment. Were all brothers here and it is what it is. People get bias and hyped up about their car and get disconnected from reality.

Snorman went 11.4 in his stock C7. Just FYI..

Year of the C7:
Tires used on the pass: Stock OEM Michelin Pilots
Performance Mods (if any): None
Category submitted for: Bone Stock on Stock Tires
60'.............1.683
330'...........4.807
660'...........7.389
660’ mph...94.61
1000'..........9.613
1320'..........11.496
1320’ mph…118.96

Yes..it would seem that you are. But hey...keep telling yourself that a stock C5Z is "as fast".

So your obviously modded C5Z on what looks like a 28" M&H with CCW skinnies on it went about as fast as my bone stock C7 did at Atco but 3 mph slower and they are "matched up pretty close"? Seriously? And to say that day "wasn't perfect"...dude...everybody by the tree was wearing winter coats and gloves! That's about as good as it gets at Atco.

These were my passes from a few weeks after it went 11.6:

Had no clue you ended up going 120 so I guess I was wrong and the c7 has 2mph on the c5 zo6. BUT still no where near the 125+ trap speeds a c6 zo6 gets. Your car does great out of the hole with its automatic makes it real easy. 11.49 is amazing on a completely stock car.

BTW no its not a 28 it was a 26x10.5 mh et street dot. But like I said you can hear I had shifting issues that day. Hydraulics would over heat.

Anyway rangers stock car and your car is a good comparo. He went 11.8 at 118 on a stock tire.. 11.55 at 118 on a drag radial.

Nobody is trying "to act like a tough guy". The C7 is faster.
In that "mineshaft" air at MIR, Atco, Cecil etc. where a C5Z traps 118, a C7 A6 will trap 120-121 and run at least an 11.4.
