Default Do you like the cup holders?

Hi,

My only issue with the C7 is the cup holders I find them too shallow and in dire need of rubber inserts to hold things in place. Im curious if anyone else has even noticed the cup holders or maybe its just me...

thanks!

One of the forum vendors has single and dual cupholders that attach to the tunnel on the passenger’s side.

I’m not a big fan of drinks in the car, my wife almost always spills whatever drink she might have so the family rule is no drinks in the car. Don

Cup holders on C5, C6 and now C7 have been fairly useless. Not really an issue for me though. There are some aftermarket solutions available if you really need to have a better cup holder.

They are better than the ONE in my C5 for sure and there are two. Yes, they are a bit shallow but there probably is not room to go deeper. I have a travel cup in my collection that is fairly heavy and fits perfectly. No issue for me.

They're light years better than my C5. I took this out of my C5 and sprayed it black. Works great for my wife who can't travel without her Coke. (No, she never spills it).

those things are great. Just put a dual travel-buddy in the wife's C7. Have one in my '13 427, and had them in our now-sold C6 and C5.

Hand one in my C6 for the water bottle I always carry. But the grab handle in the C7 makes it more difficult to use. In addition, the cup holder in the C7 is somewhat deeper than in the C6. Thought it would work OK. Bought a bottle that fit well with some Velcro pads added and thought all was OK, even handles a .95 “g” exit wrap! However stopped short because a car was coming on our narrow street and water all over! It is not the depth, the cup insert is not secured very well and tilted foward letting the cup spill! Glued the insert to the base and all has been fine with a full bottle and many hi “g” turns and stops for over 6 months.
Gluing was more difficult than it sounds and you may not want to go thru the trouble but it worked for me. This is a link to a 5 page PDF with pics showing what I did:

Insert Tilts Easily and Caused Water Bottle to Spill!

My C-2 was obviously built before coffee (or any other drink) was was invented or found to be mandatory to carry in the car. As if the C-7 doesn't have enough things for you to look at, taking your eyes and your mind off of the road in the 1st place.

Way better than the cupholder in the C5. I can actually put a can of Coke n the C7 holder and not have to hold on to it when I get on the gas.

Not that I use it for a cup very often... right now, one is full of 223 and 45 brass, the other holds a phone and a pen.

What color floor mats go best with the C7 cup holders...

This thread should be a sticky.

Yup. Big enough to hooks a Dickey's BBQ 'Big Yellow Cup', which is pretty damn impressive.

Your C2 has a cup holder. Just open the glove box and it's formed in the back of the door. A little shallow though but nice that the glove box door does function as a picnic table(and cup holder) for the passenger when having lunch at a drive in.

I have no need for cup holders. No eating or drinking in my cars.

Well, if the cupholders sucked, your floor mats would be the thing that's sticky!

If it were MINIVAN I'd probably care more... It's not.. and the way I drive my C7 the cupholders could come with GI Joe's Kung Fu Grip and they would still sling drink everywhere
