I like it. I like it a lot and my car is Torch Red with an emphasis on a red with a contrasting black look, i.e., carbon flash stinger hood stripe, Carbon Flash badges and black wheels.
As you can see, I'm going in a opposite direction from your car, but having said that, I still really like the clean uncluttered look of your car. Perhaps bright wheels would be a nice addition?
Be careful on how you gauge this poll. People are responding from a biased perspective because the cars in their garages have the Carbon Flash trim. Put it this way; if the two styles were side by side in the showroom and people could order either way, I wonder what the results would be? I would bet it wouldn't be the, 28% pro, 72% con, that this poll suggests.

I agree. The form of the design is perfectly accented by the lack
of distracting colors. So much in fact, when I showed the link to
some non-Corvette folks, they commented thusly: "wow! is that
the new Lamborghini !??"

Not for me. I fall into the group that likes the CF design points. Don't want anyone to confuse my C7 to a C6 or foreign exotic.

That said, a few suggestions. IMO, taking the black out and leaving black wheels and black Stingray logo is a mistake. They look out of place. Swap to silver blade or better yet, chrome Z51 wheels, back to the chrome Stingray logo.
Mesh behind vents and exhaust vents either need to be black or all painted red. You still have black on rear vents and mesh. Also still have black "Corvette" lettering. If going mono go all the way. Would leave the front pillar OEM (not painted red).

Looks good and if it came from the factory this way and you painted the vents/back black, those who do not like it, would say they loved it and hated the black vents.

If i had the non painted roof, then I would replace all the black bits with Carbon Fiber and maybe the rear diffuser as well.

I would have done one thing differently. I would have painted the plastic part of the grilles body color but left the screen mesh black. I think the screen mesh in red is too busy and calls it out too much.
I still like the car more simplified than what it is today. Most of you who say you don't like it will change your tune when Chevy does it as an option next year.

There's a reason the C7 is the first Corvette since the mid-years that look good in every color. The reason is the contrasting scoops and vents that integrate with the sharp lines of the car. By painting it all one mono-chromatic color you did the same thing as throwing a burka over Meg Ryan!! You neutralized the damn thing!

I'm really glad you conducted this experiment. It really does a great job of demonstrating the impact of the color contrasting parts. IMO the contrasting parts provide a positive impact on the overall design/appearance...I prefer the stock look.
Thanks for doing this...very interesting and helpful.

Not my cup of tea either. I like the contrast. I'm more confused by the fact that you painted everything red, but left the two small rear vents Black? Also, the black wheels and blacked out emblems go great on a stock configured car, but now they just look wrong on this car being in all red. This might be the one case where Chrome wheels would actually look better.
