You guys are funny!!! I own a new 120 foot tunnel. We wash cars that cost three times the price of the Vette. We no longer use brushes that was back in the 70s it's called Neoglide foam and is safer then home washing!!!!! Touch free washes use hi and low Ph soap and are very strong!!! I would never use one.
Some of you should put your car in a bubble with ropes around it.

I've owned five Corvettes and rarely hand wash them; I use the local Touchless
car wash. I drive them year round, weather permitting, and keep them as clean as
possible. The winter salt is the principal enemy here in N.H. They are garaged but
will never be " garage queens." The arguments offered for hand washing any car is
really a matter of preference, and certainly no guarantee that chemical and abrasive
substances aren't in the tap water in normal usage. I still remember asking the
owner of a classic Alfa roadster what product he used to keep the finish of
his beautiful car in such outstanding condition. His response was;"I wipe it down regularly with a cotton cloth and when it no longer shines, I have it re-painted!" He was
absolutely serious and could obviously afford to do so. My point...to each his own
according to his ability and resources.

Never, ever, never in this lifetime or the next.
NEVERunder any circumstances. Ever.
Keep it dirty until you can wash it yourself. Then hose it off, use a good sudsy car soap, long nap microfiber sponge/mitt rinse and dry it with a cheap electric blow dryer.
My 1995 Vette doesn't have one swirl mark and is NOT a garage queen.
