Default Stingray Engine "Rev-Hanging"-- Does a tune cure?

So I read on an edmunds journal entry about engine rev-hanging. I've experienced this on several cars and can't stand it. It makes the throttle response seem very lazy and when I let go of the gas I want engine braking immediately. I was curious if the Pfadt (or any other) tune eliminates this?

Thanks

I was wondering if it was just me who experienced this problem. Drives me crazy thinking why is the throttle hanging. At first I thought it was related to the rev matching on up-shifts, but now I know that's not the issue. Thanks for the article.....

I also noticed it. Very annoying. What is the reasoning behind it? Ahhh, emissions, should have known.

Uuuggghhh! That's the worst!

I really expected better out of the Corvette team.

I think this will be the first Corvette I will have to road test before putting in my order. Rev hanging drives me CRAZY! What other surprises and quirks are in store?

Does this happen in all modes, or maybe just Eco?

I have the same thing with my Z06. Annoying, but not much you can do about it.

Read it again. They said it is the exact opposite.

on the complete opposite end of the overrun-engine-braking spectrum, the car that's hyper-willing to jump into full engine braking at the slightest hint of a throttle lift is the Ferrari 458 Italia.

I really appreciate that link, OP. It had been driving me nuts. I couldn't figure out if I was doing something wrong as a driver or if I had a faulty car. Now I know "That's Not A Bug, That's A Feature!"

I haven't noticed on my Z51. Seems to engine break just fine, unless I have the rev matching on.

I feel certain as tuners work on this car, the rev-hanging and certain other traits will become adjustable.

I haven't noticed on my m7 Z51 either. With rev matching on it's a different story, though.... as it should be.

With 3000 miles, haven't had it happen.
