Default We want fold in mirrors and blind spot warning

With all the cool technology on board, the C7 should have a blind spot warning system and fold in mirrors. It also should have the rear view camera function as a rear view mirror and an auto collision avoidance braking system. We will certainly be fine without all this but many others already have these features. This car should include these amenities.

Just added weight and added cost. Simple as that!

As is all the infotainment stuff, heated/cooled seats, etc.

Agree that they should have had blind spot warning at least as an option in this price range.

I have blindspot warning in a few of our cars and think it is worthless to an alert driver. I don't think it has ever alarmed in my SHO or QX56.
Power folding mirrors would be cool.

I agree with the fold in mirrors.

"We" do? :-)

I'm perfectly happy without all that. I'm always fully engaged in my surroundings and my mirrors are set up for no blind spot.

Fold-in mirrors, yes. Pretty convenient at the car cash.

Everything else is just unnecessary added weight to me. Since I have learned how to adjust my mirrors properly, I have not had any trouble with blind spots.

I think blind spot indicators are mainly for people too lazy to look around. Sorry, I do.

I've driven a lot of exotics and never felt it was a necessity. If you want to see a blind spot, drive a Countach one day. You can't even see forward half the time.

It's fine as it is. Adjust the mirrors properly, and there is no blind spot.

I am sure we will get these and other amenities in future years. They aren't going to give it all in the first year.

???

GM already installed a blind spot avoidance system standard on the C7, it's the LT1 motor

My wife's '14 Accord has this but only on the passenger side. A small camera is in the side mirror. Would be nice for both outside mirrors on the C7.

"Real-time images of the vehicle’s right-side blind spot are then displayed on an 8-inch color dashboard monitor. The image appears when the right turn signal is activated, or when a button on the end of the turn signal stalk is pressed."

Heck, with tighter parking lots and smaller garages I think fold in doors would be appropriate too!

I've driven a friends Honda with that system and agree it's nice. But I turned off the lane change nanny, it drove me nuts.

RE: weight is the reason a lot of features are not there I understand but .....

For cars that won't be tracked another 5-100 lbs is no more difference than different weight people or having a passenger on board IMHO .

I'm getting used to the blind spots, but the fold in mirrors would be great.

I would bet that 75% of the overall owners(not just CF owners) don't strip or track and really don't care about 10 lbs of addition weight for the above features but would really want them.

Collision avoidance, I suspect will be mandated by the gov't and insurance in the short distance future. And once the radars are in place with the already included electric steering, lane following is just some additional software.

I could see an option to have these features for these 75%.

My wife has this in her 14 Honda accord also and it works great especially in the city.

Keep the base Stingray without these options, but let us have the ability to order these options.
