I have not received my C7 yet (soon). From what I have read on various threads here it appears that the quality of the C7 seats are better than that of the C6. EVEN the 1LT.

There's nothing wrong with a 1LT at all. NOTHING.

If you don't want the options in the other packages then get the 1LT for sure and save your money or headaches about payments.

The snobbery on the forums can run high, but if you think you've seen it so far, wait until the new Z0x car is released. Then you will see some really impressive examples of people being talked down to about their "fake" or "poser" $75k car.

We need 1LT cars, if not there is a large portion of the enthusiasts that would be left w/o an option to own a new Corvette.

Let me begin by apologizing for the comment "piece of crap".I definitely have not seen that comment in this forum. I guess being about all I see are 2LT or 3LT on the forum ,I assumed "piece of crap",and we all know what assume means.I would loved to have gotten the 2LT because of the HUD which I had on my 2011 2LT Camaro. Finances this time just wasn't there. As you can see by my avatar I get grumpy sometimes, especially waiting for my C7 to arrive. You guys and gals

Not a problem and I knew what you meant....it's just forums.....here there is lots of it from some that morph things out of control...there are many and usually their common denominator is if you don't get certain things, you are cheap or less than a man:
Auto trans
1lt (or even 2lt)
Z51
Anything less than $9k wheels
"Wax" instead of "track"

And many more and just my opin....

I hear you. I was getting cold feet on my decision for a 2LT based on the comments and actually almost gave in to the peer pressure to buy a 3LT car. Then I came to my senses and put that money into another option I wanted instead, the competition seats.

I won't BS you, you already know that the HUD is nice, but it isn't required. When I go out and get into my daily driver or into my SUV I don't have the HUD and I get along just fine. Yeah, it was cool in my 2004 and 2011, but really just an "extra".

There are way too many people on the internet that pretend to know exactly what you and I need.

[sarcasm]You mean to tell me you had a mere 1LT detailed by one of the best? You Crazeee.[/sarcasm]

Both you and your sister's cars look great and actually have me going back and forth if I want to add the black mirrors and spoiler on my AW. Seeing them side by side has made me give more consideration to the option... and I slept less last night, so thank you.

For me its simple.

2LT has heads up heated and cooled seats, better sound system, and HUD. If you don't want those then get 1LT.

Z51 has ELSD, larger front brakes, dry sump oil system, diff cooling, sway bar (stabalizer bar) , "unique aero" as stated in the brochure, available mag suspension, better tires, and bigger wheels.

1LT non Z51 has none of this. To many it's a no brainer to get at least a z51 (but I go to the track 5-8 times a year). If you just want a vette to have a vette... all the power to you for saving money.

Enjoy what you have and don't care about what others think... it's still a nice looking vette.

I'm too lazy to look to verify, but as I recall, the 2LT in C7 form does not have as many must-have goodies as it did in C6 form, like nav. For that reason, if/when I get a C7, I will give much consideration to the 1LT. Particularly if there is no difference in the sound quality other than the addition of a center channel for the 2LT audio system.

But it's comments like this that I don't like. Not everyone that ordered a non-Z51 did so to save money. I ordered a non-Z51 because I didn't want to wait 6-8 months to get my car. I ordered a non-Z51 and got the car in 28 days from walking into the dealer. Constraints suck, and I am a "have to have what I want now kind of guy". Everything in the Z51 package can be done in the after market arena anyway.

I have a 3LT on order, but ANY C7 is a beautiful machine. You should be very happy with it. I certainly would be.

I ordered a non Z51 car mainly because I didn't want the dry sump engine. I have noticed some people are just discovering; longer warm up time and other different procedures associated with this system, not to mention the additional 5 quarts of oil. I also am not excited about the larger rear spoiler, detracts from the sleek look of the convertible with the top down.

Hey those who want a 1LT, more power to them. Those of us on the other end of the spectrum, who wouldn't consider anything but a 3LT, to take full advantage of the totally upgraded interior, more power to us. I'm sure both camps are happy with their different view of a "good deal".

I think one of the most appealing things about the Corvette is that it is a great value in any trim. For many that are accustomed to driving Mercedes, BMW, etc, the 3LT trim is probably a must have. It's still a great value. For those that are stepping up from pony cars, or older editions, perhaps all the leather wrapping won't be missed.

However, in either trim, we all still get the great performance based core. The one thing GM has always done well with the Corvette is to balance attainable with desireable.
