You're all losers if you don't believe me because I'm a good driver and the car came out of the corners on rails. Brake pads were shot too so I'm sure there was more in it.
But did you have the titanium lug nuts installed?

I think you have a typo....don't you mean 1:19 ? That sounds more realistic from the scenario you described.

No digs from me, and no dramas. Just bring it out to NASA TT and run it with a transponder sometime. This weekend is the last event of the year. I'll even offer to align/set it up for you for free

2014 schedule is here... plenty of RA events for Mr. Lawdogg to come put on his driving clinic. Someone should reach out to Reese *** at MTI and Jim Mero of GM for them to attend... they could learn something.

I suspect the OP made a typo or was just estimating from his dashboard info. Either way, sounds like the C7 is a fine track warrior....

Can I take his spot if he doesn't show up

OP was given all the opportunity to rectify the situation, but instead resorts to quietly editing the original post and referring to the "doubters" as "losers with a C5 wishing you had a C7".... Boy I've never been so glad to be slow(er) and not be grouped with these "losers"

Should've taken the high-road OP...

Not an amateur huh? So you are a pro driver then, or semi pro? Then why are all these amateurs in C5's 7-10 seconds faster?

I think all of the amateurs knew the time already. And most of them are still faster, in C5's. And Reese is a former World Challenge driver.

Would help if you could turn a faster lap than someone you called a loser. You are ten seconds slower than some of these "losers". 10 seconds is a looonnnng time.

Tough crowd here.

Enjoyed OP's initial observations, regardless. I enjoy reading all I can find as folks take new C7s to the track.

I think we all could have stopped reading when we found out about the spin on the out lap on street tires.

We aren't a mean group, but most of us have been around and driving on the tracks long enough to know what it takes to run certain times in the kind of cars we drive. Don't lie about your lap times and just share what you have. I know what it took for me to drive my old C5Z at Road Road to a low 1:35 and still had time on the table if I was a little better. The laps I saw on the video doesn't come close.

Even without a passenger in the car and giving it 100% on the course, it would be very tough to get to a 1:34 on street tires in a C7. I would have to see proof to believe it.

I am an amateur and ran a 1:36 in a C5Z. I am "turtle slow" through T12.
