I ran a 1:28 in TTA trim one time, but my camera was broken, my Traqmate was unplugged and the timing tower wasn't ready on the GO lap.
You're all losers if you don't believe me because I'm a good driver and the car came out of the corners on rails. Brake pads were shot too so I'm sure there was more in it.

You losers with a C5 wishing you had a C7 should do a little more research. MTI ran 1:34 this past weekend with traffic. I still standby my times but without the video I edited it to reflect what I had to show. I am also not a amateur driver and am very well experienced with corvette chassis systems. Anyhow run your stop watches with the video. The 1:40 laps are with a passenger in which was day two. He even stated his experiences with the car. I wouldn't any way endanger someone else's life trying to get my best times. He even stated himself we worn the brake pads down to nothing. Anyhow I got a real life to keep living. Any C7 owner with track related questions PM me.

Frankly, on a bone stock car on street tires and alignment, either of those times at Road Atlanta is very good. I remember how happy I was when I first broke 1:50 in my stock C5Z06 with a good alignment and V700s. 1:42 is getting it in a stock car. I suspect the OP made a typo or was just estimating from his dashboard info. Either way, sounds like the C7 is a fine track warrior....

Can I take his spot if he doesn't show up
OP was given all the opportunity to rectify the situation, but instead resorts to quietly editing the original post and referring to the "doubters" as "losers with a C5 wishing you had a C7".... Boy I've never been so glad to be slow(er) and not be grouped with these "losers"
Should've taken the high-road OP...

I think all of the amateurs knew the time already. And most of them are still faster, in C5's. And Reese is a former World Challenge driver.
Would help if you could turn a faster lap than someone you called a loser. You are ten seconds slower than some of these "losers". 10 seconds is a looonnnng time.

We aren't a mean group, but most of us have been around and driving on the tracks long enough to know what it takes to run certain times in the kind of cars we drive. Don't lie about your lap times and just share what you have. I know what it took for me to drive my old C5Z at Road Road to a low 1:35 and still had time on the table if I was a little better. The laps I saw on the video doesn't come close.
Even without a passenger in the car and giving it 100% on the course, it would be very tough to get to a 1:34 on street tires in a C7. I would have to see proof to believe it.
