Cancled My Order But Found This One
I have tried all last week to get my order number since I was told at the local dealership they had a Z-51 order slot last Monday 11/11. I talked to the lady(today) who orders cars and she did not realize that I was told of an allocation they did not have. Before I found out this information, I was searching on Chevrolet.com and came across this Z-51 last Saturday. I called and could not believe that a Torch Red Adrenaline interior, exhaust, 3LT, Z-51, double carbon tops, carbon dash, chrome wheels, mag ride, red calipers and more was not sold. A certified check is being overnighted FedEx and I am flying to Atlanta tomorrow morning. Hendrick Chevrolet of Buford is picking me up and I will have an outstanding ride home of 570 miles. I am really excited to have found what I ordered and then some. Fantastic buying experience so far! [IMG][/IMG]

Fantastic Same thing happened to me a month ago. Cxl'd my order because I found the Torch Red/3LT that I ordered 80 mile away. I have only 305mi so you will pass me with just your ride home!! Good luck and enjoy the ride back home.......

Enjoy, nice ride!

Congrats. Beyond belief( not really) the level of incompetence on the part of the people taking care of the ordering details at some of these dealers. Going with the well regarded forum dealers we all know, precludes this kind of nonsense.

It has the exposed carbon roof option and transparent which is good as I posted the dilemma I had going with the transparent only. The other option that I was not going to order is the upper micro fiber material. I had several pictures taken to see what it looked like. Certainly not a deal breaker! In this case, having more than my ordered car is better than less.

Congratulations....I imagine that journey home will be epic.
It would be cool if you could give us an account of your insights on the ride home of the new corvette.
Torch red z5 with the carbon roof is a real beauty!
Thanks for posting a photo.

Nice deal and hard work pays off. Now you have to baby it going home, but then again once you are home you can run her hard. Nice color combination . You will love the Z51 option .

A handful of PMs from kind forum members helped me bypass the turmoil that you also got around. I do feel for the folks that are stuck, or for whatever reason waiting long past the time when they wanted their vehicles - all I can say is in the end game, it's worth it!!!
Your car is gorgeous. We only drove about 75 miles home from the courtesy dealership - for you guys doing the long drives, I do wonder at what point during the drive do you finally get to the point where you finally take in a big breathe of air, and relax. The adrenaline never slowed down during our short trip, especially in fear that all the jaw dropped folks on the road were forgetting they too had cars to drive, and were heading straight toward the new baby!
