Prices falling fast on new C7's

Its not surprising if they keep up with current production numbers. When they bring out a few more models that will slow up production some. You know the first GS/Z0? version is going to be high production that first year too.
What amazes me is people are still willing to pay $50,000 for a 4-5 year old Z06. Even the used Grand Sports 2-3 years old with in $10,000 of a
C7.

Go look in the dealer section $2000 off MSRP is already being advertised for anyone and many other dealers are doing the same thing too even though they aren't posting up here to that effect. Better deals than that are being offered to good customers of some Chevy dealerships too - case in point what just happened to me. Sorry if you are upset because your prediction of C7's selling for MSRP for at least a year or more was so off base, but simple supply and demand was bound to take hold after the small number of "had to have it on my block first" people got theirs at a premium
As I've already said I have no interest in a non-widebody base car even with Z51. With how heavy the C7 ended up being it will take a far higher hp version with an auto available to lure me in to buy. If not then I will be forced to just keep enjoying my 14' CTS-V sedan and 12' GS Coupe

BTW, someone sent me a link... http://www.classicgranbury.com/Vehic...-TX/2122067633 to a supposed $6,000 off and I personally called. I was told it was a "mistake" and the salesman told me it was an ordered car that did indeed sell for MSRP.

Scraping the splitter.
These are auction prices for '11, '12 and '13 3LT Grand Sports (from August-October, when a friend of mine was shopping for one). In the '13 MY, 3LT GS's stickered for...what...high-$60's to low-$70's?
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-d...chevrolet.html
I'd guess the 2LT cars are even further down into the ~$40's.
So I guess if you compare a GS with a ~$70k MSRP to a $52k 1LT non-Z51, then they are within $10,000. I would also say that asking prices and sales prices are two completely different things. Somebody asking $60-70k for a sub-10k mile '10-'12 Z06 probably shouldn't count on getting it.

Correct answer - there are a lot of people who prefer the C6 over the C7 and it is holding newer model low mileage C6 values quite high at the moment.

Judging by his "subtle" post in the C6 vs C7 thread over in C6 land.....he MIGHT favor the C6 and not like the C7 too much.....but only just a smidge, you can barely tell.
EDIT: From page 10 of "Who's keeping their C6--who's not?"
"The C7 is a real disappointment and I'm not just talking about the Camaro rear end on the car. Hard to see ever getting one after seeing and driving one in person I was even more saddened by the newest vette. Terrible blind spot and the power falls off a cliff up top after 5k or so. Glad I bought a brand new C6 GS coupe and modded it I will love running into the C7's on the road and laying the pipe to them "
Kind of makes you wonder...

Exactly! Good to see someone who gets it. C6 values are going to continue to drop as expected, no big deal.
It always amazes me how current owners of a vehicle in question often equate asking prices with selling price or actual cash value. Huge misconception. There are many, many, cases where the 2 are wildly different. The used car market for a novice seller can be a brutal experience. I also love how those who have fantasy land ideas about what their vehicle or similar is worth challenge those who deal in reality with the "show me where I can buy one for that price". Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I won't be ready to seriously consider getting a C7 until a couple of years from now. Depending on what discounts I can get, I might just look at a low mileage used one if they become available. But for those that paid MSRP now, the opportunity to drive the car now has to be worth the difference.

Z06s that had a sticker in the 90s are not selling as cheap as you think. My loaded '07 stickered for 78k. With reasonable mileage it would sell for high 30s to low 40s. The Z06s that stickered in the 90s were later models with higher end packages. They won't be offered for sale at the same price as my '07.
This is from his reply to me: "You obviously do not have a clue Pal! Do some research before you make a fool of yourself again.
So that's what you're dealing with . . . . . . .

Guys,
There is a non-forum dealer in Florida offering C7s at $4,000.00 under sticker. The are broadcasting this RIGHT NOW loud and clear on a certain major auction website. No accidents, no "mistakes"

Are you referring to the dealer in Jasper with 1 Corvette in inventory?
Your post would have one thinking this is a BIG EVENT - " They are broadcasting this RIGHT NOW loud and clear" . . "Let the games begin" . . . . . . . . . . Really ????

Michael, if it is true that this dealer will order a C7 for anyone at $4,000.00 under sticker, then YES it is indeed a "big deal". How is it not?

Let me rephrase what I said in my post above . . Are you referring to the Chevrolet dealer in Jasper, who specializes in trucks - who has 0 Corvettes in inventory - who is using a fleabay listing to try and drum up business?

Ahh, even if all that is true, at $4,000.00 off any factory ordered C7, who cares? Certainly not me...
