Default C7 $5,000 under MSRP in Houston

The web site for Clasic Chevrolet in Sugar Land has a Z51 for $5,000 under MSRP and a 2LT for about $4,900 under MSRP. Hard to believe ths is accurate.

Is there only one left after your purchase?

I looked at the site and they have two- a good deal for someone- pretty well dressed but not over the top.

I wish I would have known before ordering mine... Still hard to get back from Texas to MN during this time of year.

I see both have "group contribution" what is that- it seems that it doesn't add to the cost but must be a "dealer thing" from Chevy?

It was going to happen sooner or later. Surprised that sooner has arrived earlier than I would have thought.

are you sure?

Give them a call.

There have been several of these "deals" that ended up being $5,000 OVER MSRP... "oh, that was a mistake, the MSRP and selling price were mixed up."

EDIT: I've sent a request to confirm the selling price.

Did you call them to confirm pricing? I be you they are not selling them for $5k off.

Notice their 2013 C6 is also $5k. It's part of the dealers automated system to mark down cars when they hit the website.

There is no way this is accurate...

I can assure you, as I placed my order with this dealer (Classic in Houston) at the end of September. I am in costant contact with their dedicated Corvette salesman and they are having no problem selling these at MSRP, and are still taking orders at MSRP.

I highly doubt they are marking these down $5k, I think this is another issue with an automated internet price decrease that is setup on their website.

I will text my guy when they open and find out.

My deposit is fully refundable even when car is built and at the door, so even if it were true or I wanted to get one at 2-3k off from one of these forum vendors, I could at any time.

...But thanks for coming out, brah.

This has happened with a few dealers, mine included. For some reason when the car is posted to the dealers inventory two prices are posted one being MSRP and the other being Invoice. It's not the dealers fault it's (Happened at Classic Grapevine, Classic Granbury and others) the group that controls the dealers site. The dealer usually catches this and calls who ever and then it goes back to MSRP.

Don't see you with a C7 then. Or you still holding out for that DCT?

What a joke.

Anyways, good to see the pricing coming back down to earth so quickly. Honestly the way things are going for me, I will be very interested in the Hi-Po C7 in the first model year. Hope it follows this trend.

Yup, it's an internet mistake on their site which automatically adjusts price, I just confirmed it.

They don't even have those 2 cars for sale, all of their cars are spoken for and they have no dealer inventory cars.
