Default The old and the new...[photos]

My wife's friend's husband just purchased the C7, and we visited them today with the 63. Great photo opportunity, so we took a few photos, hope you enjoy the, Oh yeah, got to drive the C7 and it's just a wonderful car, smooth, powerful, and very comfortable. I will buy one, but will wait a few years when all the hype is over...and the bugs are worked out... I really don't need to buy one now, but will wait, although it is tempting.

Here are the photos:

Car runs and sounds great, love it so much, but I know one day it will be for sale... What I like about this, price goes up every year, these cars are now bringing it big dollars, and most are not half and nice as this one.

Great looking C2....

When I'm trying to get my wife going I float the idea of owning all 3 Stingrays.....C2, C3, C7....

Damn, that '63 is drop dead gorgeous! Would love to know more about it e.g. engine, transmission, other options (A/C?), mileage.

Has the L-76 SPI-Hi, 340 HP, totally stock with solids and full race cam, four speed transi, pure stock. 3:73 Rear, Posi-traction, power assist brakes, Sebring Silver (optional paint for 63), No AIR, NO Power Steering, Milage about 58K, total body off restoration. As you see the car is how it would have left the showroom, AM Wonderbar radio, tinted windows. EVERYTHING in this car is date coded to build date. Car was made on 24 January 1963, St. Louis.

It was a body off restoration that took 7 years to complete. Every inch of the car was gone over.

As mentioned before has three top flights (1 local chapter, 1 Regional and 1 National level, each time scored in the 90's) Has many NOS and Original parts. It runs as well as it looks, very quick, and you need to pay full attention to drive this car with bias tires. I have a second set of wheels (original 1963 ET Mags, remember the 63 have drum brakes all around with red line radial tires, and car handles much better, but like having the original wheels, covers and tires on the car. I love the wheel covers.

Peter Brock has told me several times this is one of the best restored SWCs in the country. So obviously I am very proud of this car. Car was evaluated to be well over, well over 100K.

Anything else you wish to know?

Here is another photo taken at Ocean City....

Great photography. The C2 body is timeless. One thing which really stands out in pic #4 are the skinny 1963 tires, compared to the C7.
