Autocross in Ft.Myers FL
For the guys that baby your car, you don't know what your missing!! For $30 take it to Autocross. Once you do it, you will experience what Corvette is all about. Then go buy some slicks and a spare set of rims!!

Nice! Had some fun in my other car autox'ing at Homestead and SunLife... anyway that same day you did yours (Nov. 3rd?), a friend w/ his '13 white Boss 302 was also there and texted me he saw a new Z51 C7 running in one of the groups which must have been you?

Yes, autox is the cheapest way to experience the most fun with any car... and considering the runs usually are a minute or less, it really doesn't wear on your car compared to an actual track day.

It was actually earlier today, Turkey Autox... although no C7's on the registration list I saw online. The C7 runs in AS (A-Stock) group, correct?
And next is on Dec. 1st at Homestead kart track... Event Name: Muscle The Heat Pro-Touring AutoX. http://muscletheheat.com and a new C7 is already registered!

Yeah I was wondering what class... a stock Boss 302, a 997, and some M cars I have seen are typically placed in A-Stock so I was thinking likewise for the C7 but I can also see if some event sponsors run it in SS.

I think my 2001 C5 Z06 is going to AS. I'm going to bet SS for the C7, sorry. Do you have the MRC shocks? If so, did you experiment with different settings?
I checked the results and saw you were picking up time with each run.

First two runs I tried it with traction control on. The lag in throttle response and sound messed with my head. The last 4 runs without it. I guess TC is meant for the street and not the track.

Spot on. When I drove an automatic Z51 at PBIR's kart course... I noticed that with the nannies on, it would swiftly kick in the safety measures (throttle cutoffs, TC, etc...) The cool thing is while in Track mode it automatically upheld the RPMs in the sweet spot, whether in gear or downshifted.

That long track looks so cool! Our AutoX tracks are pretty small. Last spring did get to use Sandusky Speedway's banked track with weave cones on each side.
