I liked this. Did I understand him to say that the Z51 is warranty covered for track days but thereby imply that wasn't the case for non-Z51 cars?

That is what he said. The main reason why is the dry sump oil system and coolers on the Z51.

I don't think that another Detroit Auto Show Corvette reveal would surprise many of us.

i am sure they were fielding the calls and only passing certain ones through. I did listen live and it was very good to hear if you track the c7 z51 they will cover on track occurances.

now if this will hold up against the warranty rep i would be showing him this video!

So the Z51 A6 is faster in a straight line but the Z51 M7 is faster on the track......

The difference is a tenth or two in the quarter mile....in favor of the 6 speed auto....

Road course work is also very close with the manual ahead..but very close.
