Default "Comp Grey" Z51 Wheels on Cyber Grey - Plasti Dipped

I dipped my wheels this AM and here are some pics.

I'm undecided if I actually like them Comp Grey.

I like the concept but that is, for me, too dark.
I'd like it lighter so it pops a little against the CG.
Still, to me, it is a huge improvement over black.

I personally am not a fan of Black wheels, but I think you did a good job here.

I agree, I like the contrast of the silver wheels.

I'll live with it for a few weeks to see if it grows on me.

No. I did take the wheels off the car and then I used post cards around the edge of the rim so it didn't get on the tires.

how in the world do you get it to stay on? I tried this on the side emblems and it peeled right off.

I like it! Different than the black and still looks sinister.

Did you let the plasti dip dry for a long time? Did you put a lot of coats on?

The key to Plasti Dip on emblems is to pull the excess when it's still tacky and not dry. If you let it dry too long it will not "tear" away.

Looks great!! That's as dark as those wheels should be, IMO.

A couple shades lighter might be better without getting into the silver range. Just sayin'.

My opinion you should do yellow calipers and it will really make the rims stand out more.

That would look sweet also. Just a color that will pop and stand out. Great job on the rims.
