1300 trouble free miles.........then a rock hits my windshield....

The crack was shaped just like the new corvette logo, however, by the time I arrived home it became a 3" long crack. Pulling into the driveway made it an inch longer. Better than Viagra.

Windshields are on constraint I assume?

Similar situation for me, a small chunk of concrete from a truck from a lane over hit my bumper, grill and windshield. took to car to the dealer for them to take a look, 1400 for fixing the grill/bumper... its really only a scratch... and a scrape on the windshield which apparently can not be buffed out. they said the windshield is on constraint for 6-8 weeks.

Thanks. Stingray Chevrolet ordered one today. I was told it was made of (currently) "un-obtainium".....

Since no one has ever taken off the (outside shiny black) A pillar covers, I guess I'll be the guinea pig. I hope they just snap off.

I had this happen to me on my 2014 Silverado in July except it was a stress crack and covered under warranty. Same problem, none of the distribution centers had replacement glass yet and it took about 3 weeks to get it. I think this is part of the "early adopter" tax.

Mike.
