Fixed Damage on 3LT Leather Console
Found deep marks near the console latch. They were obviously caused by my thumb nail. The wife blames my “less than optimum” groomed nails. She’s probably right! There were a number of marks that were past the leather or vinyl outer cover (whatever it is on the 3LT) that were white. Used some tan shoe polish and after a few applications they were mostly not visible. Don’t have a pic of the original marks but you can see them slightly on the repaired surface (top pic.)
Decided it would happen again so installed a small piece of 3M plastic protectant. Looks fine for where it’s located.
Anyone else find anything similar? My C7 is 1 ˝ years old.

Yes could get professional manicures like my wife! Mine really aren’t that bad, I do use an emery board! However when opening the console it’s pretty easy to have it mark the leather! Did not notice it until I looked carefully. After a year and a half there were a number of deep ones to the point of seeing white! Tan shoe polish did the trick and the 3M plastic will help between manicures!

I remember seeing a beautiful Lemans Blue C6 when I visited the Florence, SC HQ. Any chance that was yours?

No that was one of my product managers C6! We both parked at the far end of the lot! My C6 was yellow but I was traveling about 1/2 the time so was probbaly out of town when you were visiting! He just retired, I retired some time ago. His car always looked better than mine, he used Zaino! That is what I started to use on the 2014! Yes i see my consultant ID badge is showing in the console!

Kind of hard to see the marks in the pics - the shoe polish did a good job hiding them.
