Default Love my C7 but.....

Best corvette I have ever had, but I fooled myself into thinking it could be a DD. since I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

With many other sports cars I don't need the Vette. It's a Z51, green.

Still mulling but may sell . Maybe I'll get over it.

My Vettes have always been DDs (C4, C5Z06, C6 coupe)

Why not the C7?

Yes they are. Wife has a '12 GC Overland, V6. Very nice ride indeed.

Have you had any issues/problems with the C7?

Corvettes have been my daily drivers since 1998. My C7 will be too (when I get it).

+1 Exactly. All Corvettes since the C5 are "daily drivers".

It's just the "new car and generation" sensation... don't worry, it will wear off and you'll be driving it every day.

All GMs are "daily drivers".

DDing it right now. Have no issues at the moment. Not sure why the OP can't DD his. Maybe some other circumstances that are game changers like crazy bad road conditions?

I am almost 6'5" and 240 which is ok for an occasional drink in the Ferrari or McLaren but not so much in the Z51.

I don't doubt that it is a wonderful DD for many. It is a wonderful car and in a few hundred miles, I have had NO issues. Just thinking it may be one more car I won't have time to drive on the weekends.

But, trust me this is a world class car and GM did their homework.

How can a corvette be a daily driver. They drag on a dime. No cargo. If need to
stop at sam's or pick up garden supplies. If go out, people rather go with the one
driving a SUV. Say nice but not getting in an out. Gonna have to have
another vehicle like a SUV or truck. Next will find driving the truck all the time,
because not wanting to run home get the vette just to drive it. Found many a time
out and need to go down a road, maybe not paved or lots of dips which a corvette is
not fun at. I like the corvette, but love it no way, it just a car.

I can't imagine having a Corvette as a daily driver. I have three Corvettes, and I'm single and retired, yet I have a sedan as a daily driver. I don't even daily drive my daily driver.

All four of the Vettes I have owned have been daily drivers. I have driven about 220,000 miles in my Vettes during the past 17 years. I cannot imagine not getting to drive my Vette every day.

Bunch of old wussies. I daily drove my c5z through college with zero problems. Perfect daily driver. Reliable, looked amazing, spanked mustangs *** and got awesome gas mileage all at the same time. While being very affordable. Couldn't of asked for a better car. It made me a lifetime corvette enthusiast. I will die owning a vette

Why not the C7?
It seems the C7 would be a good daily driver. -- Sits much higher than the C6 and easier to get in and out of.

My Girlfriend loves the look of the C7. When we first saw it, she thought it was something new out of japan. She thought it had an asian import look to it.

It seems to sit high, Wonder if the corvette designers are considering an All wheel drive version sometime in the next couple of years.

Interesting, my C7 certainly does not sit higher than my C6 did. In fact, i find it is quite difficult now to use the drive-up ATMs. I have to open the door and really stretch to reach the buttons.

But it is easier to get out of than the C6 for some reason.
