Default Thank You Tommy Jr @ MacMulkin for #4752

First car purchase from across country, and Tommy could not have possibly made it any easier. The man works in "Internet" speed, and all the "no bs" comments about him are spot on.

Our hopes were dashed in late September of being able to get in on a Z51 in a timely manner as constraints were starting. Meanwhile as I was reading posts on this forum like a maniac, and looking daily at the Dealer Inventory, I found the MacMulkin post of available On Order C7's posted 10/6, on 10/7, and there was one that was exactly as we had planned to order, except it had an extra roof (bummer), and no FAY (decided we could easily do without!).

We reserved RDTJT0 on 10/8 from MacMulkin in NH, and it was at 3300, and yesterday, 11/2 in California, she was in our DRIVEWAY!!!!

Cyber Gray Metallic, Z51, 7 Manual, 3LT Black (I DEFINITELY think the 3LT is still worth it in black!), Chrome Wheels (to die for to me), MSRC, NPP, and dual roof with body color & transparent.

I just wanted to put a plug in for Tommy Jr. He was amazing. He took care of everything with the Courtesy delivery 60 miles away from me (I didn't have to research anything), he managed to get the car redirected to CA pretty late in the game so I didn't have to pay any extra fees to get the car from NH to CA. Every communication was telling me "what it was", not "what I wanted to hear". If anything he lead me to underexpect, not overexpect (e.g. had 50% chance of getting the car delivered to CA - in fact, even Chevy Customer Care thought the car was delivered to NH).

When we picked up our beauty at the courtesy dealer, they had a gorgeous non-Z51 available, for MORE than what we paid Tommy for our Z51. When the dealer asked why we purchased across country, I pointed the sticker price with 18,000 of extra markups, and said "that's one reason"!

I can speak to 2 things I've heard lots of talk about. One is the FAY (Carbon Fiber Dash versus not) - I have some good pics I think of the non-FAY. A car on the dealer lot did have FAY, and I would have been delighted to get it. But, I am way more impressed with the non-FAY than I thought I would be. The plain dash has a sparkle in it, and looks beautiful.

The other is the Kalahari interior. The car at the dealer also had 3LT Kalahari. Most all photos I have seen of it made it look orangish, and I didn't think I'd like it. It was absolutely STUNNING in person - not a hint of orange. I think people who order it are going to love it.

Uploading photos now, will have them up soon.

Congrats on getting the new ride.

I have a Cyber Gray C6 and it is a fantastic color. Looks amazing on a sunny day and hides dirt really well.

Congratulations! Nice find.

Would appreciate if you could post some nice pics of that 3LT Black.....haven't really seen many. And I'm guessing no Suede inserts, right? TIA

Tommy rocks. I tried to negotiate a deal with several different forum vendors here when buying my 2013 GS. Bought my first C6 from Tommy in 09 and just wanted to see what the others were like. None were quick to answer emails or return phone calls and all had higher prices than Tommy. Worst of all they all sounded like typical used car salesman trying to tell me Tommy couldn't sell the car that cheap, be careful you get what you pay for etc.
One call to Tommy is all it took. I'll never consider another forum vendor besides Tommy again.

Same here. Visually, can you tell any differences between a black 2LT and black 3LT? What do you really get for your $3000? (I'm referring only to the all black interior. The visual differences in the other colors between 2LT and 3LT are obvious.)

Congrats - and great color. I've got a CG C6 and love the color, and I think it's my favorite on the 7.

And hat tip to Tommy as well.

No suede inserts. I'll get some interior photos later. I can't help you with comparison with 3LT and 2LT, as I've seen no black interior except the 3LT. Someone who has seen both should reply. I can say I'm DELIGHTED with the 3LT black.

Thanks, look forward to them.

I felt the same way about the C6's 4LT Black (equivalent to the C7 3LT). Yes it was just all black but it seemed to have a different, upscale look and feel to it over the 3LT Black.

Tommy is the man. I bought mine from him last year. Half way across the country and all it took was a couple emails and a couple phone calls. It went basicaly like this.." Tommy please save me stock number ### and ill be out to pick it up in a couple weeks". Walk in to take delivery, hand him the check, done. Btw the second and third floor showrooms are incredible, but when I was there they were full. No clue how many he has in stock now though.

When Tommy reads this thread he'll probably follow up with a pm to you. He did to me anyway. Congrats on the bew-full CG Stingray. One of the best colors .....right after CRM that is...grins! Gorgeous.

Yeah I wouldn't waste one fraction of a second with anyone else. Bought my 10 GS from Tommy Jr and will buy my C7 from him. My brother will be buying a C7 at some point ( he has 3 vettes and other fun toys like a 427 ERA Cobra replicar ) and I will be sending him Tommy's way as well.
