LOL. I'm picking mine up Friday and planning a Nashville-Memphis-Texarkana run into Dallas area (with a short stop in Tunica :-) ) getting in Saturday night.

I have driven that route several times to Dallas area and it is about as good as there is.

Mapman is right! A little out of the way but really a neat drive! Also a bit slow as much of the drive is restricted to national parks speed limits, 45-50 mph. It is a must at this time of year, plus there are lots of good places to eat along the parkway, and great areas of historical interest to stop at.

Natchez Trace Parkway is the way to go. Much nicer drive than the interstates. When I do the NCM delivery, I'll be doing the Bourbon Trail (not so much a road as a set of Distillers) in KY and then Natchez Trace to Texas.

Sweet, I will be there on Friday picking mine up as well. Really looking forward to the tours, and the drive home, all the way to El Paso. I get mine at 10:45, plan on driving to Memphis Friday then on to Dallas Saturday, finally home to El Paso Sunday.

Did the same last November after NCM delivery. Then went west on I -20, crossed into Texas and then headed SW to Houston. Fall colors on Natchez Trace should be beautiful.

If you choose to travel south on I65, toward Birmingham, take Alabama69S just south of Cullman. It will take you southwest to Tuscaloosa- it's a 'Vette road.

I am picking up my new C7 in Duluth, GA Friday afternoon. Thinking about driving up to Bowling Green for Sat AM visit then back to Dallas Sat afternoon and Sunday morning. I think the extra miles will be well worth it. Would be great to have a few Vettes on the road!!!

Nashville-Memphis-Texarkana, I take that way all the time going to Detroit. Nashville to Memphis 199 miles Memphis to Little Rock 140 miles, Little Rock to Texarkana 140 miles, Texarkana to Dallas 199 miles.

All you guys please watch for deer once you get into Arkansas they are bad this time of year. Also the road from Memphis to Little Rock is a little rough.

I ran I-40 between Conway, AR and Memphis two weeks ago, and it was in fine shape(they were doing some construction(one lane) on a 3 mile stretch but it was smooth). Cruised at 75 MPH in a SUV.

Right now, deer are bad everywhere.
