C7 Insurance Cost vs Prior Years
Just got a quote from my SAFECO agent that my insurance was going to be in the $1200 range for one year. I had previously been paying around $700 (when it was new) for my 09 ZO6.
Anyone else noticed a significant raise in premium for a C7?

Obviously it all depends on your locality & region, motor vehicle & claims records, etc... but I use Geico w/ a clean driving history and after adding full coverage for my new C7, it only went up $355 per 6-months. Both my SS and Boss each have higher premiums. Go figure...

13 C6 GS vrs 14 C7..about the same.
I find that in pricing insurance some companies don't raise your rates too often or sometimes not at all........but change cars out and that's where they make hay.
Just 2 different business philoshies. All comes out the same in the wash.

Mine is about the same as my 2012 was...
I've had my Corvettes insured with the National Corvette Museum Insurance Agency for several years. Since my C7 is not going to be a daily driver, but I do want to be able to drive it to work occasionally, I added the "Nine-to-Five Driver" endorsement that allows for this.
I was a little concerned about how much the total annual premium might be, but was pleasantly surprised when I was told it would cost me right at $500 a year, INCLUDING the "Nine-to-Five Driver" endorsement.
- 3000 miles per year plan (since I have 4 Corvettes and don't use any of them as my daily driver, I have each of them on the 3000 miles per year plan, allowing 3000 miles PER Corvette)
- Agreed Value of $65,000
- $500 Deductible
- Bodily Injury Liability of $250,000 each person, $500,000 each accident.
- Property Damage Liability $100,000 each accident.
- Uninsured/Underinsured Motorists Bodily Injury $250,000 each person, $500,000 each accident.
- Medical Payments $2,000 each person.
- Nationwide Roadside Assistance $200 per occurrence
- Trip Interruption Coverage $150 per day, $600 Maximum

I swapped out a '95 Corvette for the C7 and my USAA auto ins went up $18/month or $216 for the year. Considering the performance and value difference, I expected a bigger increase and was pleasantly surprised. (Please, no USAA haters or fanboy comments, I know they're not what they used to be. I've been with them for 41 years and they've treated me right.)

For clarification, that's a little under $800/yr in the Atlanta area w/ 250/500 deductible and 300/500/100.
