Not sure if it was covered in the pages, but just wondering why you skipped on the Z51 and NPP? Being so close to the C7, I would think they are some of the coolest features (well at least the NPP), if you didn't want big rims and don't track the car I understand about no z51.

EDIT: saw your reason for Z51, figured about the comfort. What about NPP? I can't wait till mine comes in. I am so jealous!

Your comment about seeing your car on the Boulevard hit home. I still think about my NCM delivery last November. Could not believe it was happening.

BTW yours is beautiful!!!

I was wondering if any one would notice the T90 on his temp tag that I personally pulled for Paul. Sharp eye!!!

Congratulations Paul! I was wondering if you had taken delivery of your car yet, and this thread answers that question!

Someday I will definitely own a C7 but I probably won't be able to afford a new one, so I'll have to wait a few years for the prices to come down on the used ones. Even though I'm not in a position to buy a new one, I find it disappointing that us Canadians can't get museum delivery. I guess there is too much red tape involved with a foreign purchase though, but maybe someday in the future it will become available to us.

Enjoy the car! I look forward to hearing all about your experiences with it and wish you many miles of smiles!

The way I use the car, I needed to be realistic in what I "needed" vs. what I "wanted". This car (as all my Corvettes are) is a touring car first and foremost. My wife and I like to travel and we will take this on long road trips. I needed the convenience features of the 2LT. My wife will also drive this car from time to time while I'm away on business and I wanted a car that was easy for her to deal with. I track my car once, maybe twice in a year. I drive my car a lot. I went with the package that cost less and made sense for my driving habits. We'll see what happens in the end but I'm perfectly content with my decision. I figured that I might miss the Z51 for the day that I get to be on a track but I was sure I'd miss the other comfort and features the other 364 days of the year.
Well said.

I think a lot of future buyers, myself included, are debating the same 'needs' vs 'wants'. Since this is a 'want' car to begin with, the line gets blurred more than putting a sunroof in your wife's minivan.

Hi Paul - as one who's practically been counting the days until you got your new Stingray right along with you, I couldn't be happier for you. Your new car is beautiful! Thanks very much for the close-ups of the 2LT details; your photos confirm to me that my Stingray (when I get one) will be a 2LT. Here's wishing you and Becky many miles of smiles in your new Stingray!

Beautiful car! Really happy for you. I did my museum delivery with my brother. it was an awesome experience neither of us will forget. Only problem is I let my brother drive it all the way home to Houston and now he is hooked. My guide was Larry and he is just awesome. Enjoy your beautiful new car!

Default Great Write Up

I plan on a museum delivery also. You just made my day with this write up. Now I find myself just waiting for a few more bucks to save before I start the best journey of my life. This will be my first Corvette. I have been a long time follower of Vettes but soon I will have that GRIN that can't be wiped off. My order will be AW Z51 2LT
