No...just calling like I see it. People are happy with their car...why are you raining on their parade? What's your agenda besides trying to make yourself look "cool" by mentioning your stuff not related to the C7 at all.

Honest question

Guess I don't understand the supposed Papparrazzi attention that only the C7 seems to be getting. You would think it is a Lambo by some of the post I have seen.

Glad everyone loves the attention their C7's are getting.

Actually a number of people I encounter don't believe it is a vette. So glad the taillights are not round or it would be a sure give away. Friend of mines first comment was gee never thought you would give up your love of Corvettes.

We I went to the dealer to pick it up it was in the back. After the test drive I parked out front next to my C6. Salesman said might not want to park it out front it will get attention. Walked into the showroom looked back and people where pulling in the lot. They moved it to the back. This was in Columbus Ohio not a small town.

People waiting for me to come out, of stores. When I showed up at my local dealer who can't get one the place emptied out. One of the salesman said he just got a call from one of his customers who saw me on the road demanding he get him one.

Yea it is unbelievable. More proof to me Chevy has a homer. Sure it will die off some but Corvette always bring smiles to people.

Is it any wonder people want to see this car up close right now? It looks as exotic as any European sports car. It helps that it doesn't look like the previous Corvettes which in all honesty have become staid and almost blends in traffic.

Give it a year when more C7s are on the road..the attention will definitely wane. As of right now...let the new owners enjoy the attention. Congrats guys and gals for getting a wonderful car!

I had one guy in Walmart parking lot walk around car taking pictures and stuff but would not even speak to me. Some people like the car and others want to ask if it is mines.

The attention I get is crazy! At the DMV all of the employees came out to look at it. One of the Latina supervisors hit on me. I had to remind myself I was married. And happily.

Today's Craze:

While sitting in traffic on the street to get to the freeway home I had 2 guys walk up from the sidewalk and "chat" with me about the car. Then a guy in a white sedan pulled up and praised the car and told me he had a C6 GS but felt the C7 was a big step up.

On the freeway (also bumper to bumper) a guy rolled down his window... (so I rolled mine down) and he congratulated me on my purchase and wished me well with it. Said it was an amazing piece of machinery and asked if it was my first. I replied that it was my 3rd, but it feels like my 1st.

I got back into my area and stopped for gas. The attendant and another customer came up and started asking me questions about the car. I was more than happy to answer them all and one guy walked away stating it was the best looking Corvette he'd ever seen.

I went to a Halloween "get together" and as I pulled up 4 people came out to check the car out and talk about it. We went in after 10 minutes of that stuff, and as more people showed up, they asked who's new Vette was outside. LOL

To say this car draws a crowd would be an understatement. The two Fridays I've taken the car out to Bob's Big Boy, I've drawn in waves of crowds. Always bringing in people when I show up and people watching me back into the spot. And then every 20 minutes or so a new crowd would form and I'd answer questions.

I'll be there tomorrow night, but I'm not going to stick around the car too long because if I do, some of the people who want to talk cars start to wear on me and get a little to close. One of the crappy things about this car is it also draws in people that don't understand the concept of personal space. But you take the bad with the good.

Don't you hate it when the ambulance driver pulls up next to you, slows down, leans out his window to give you a BIG thumbs up and then hits his horn which from a distance of 4 feet is really freaking loud.
We know how you feel thumbs up
