Default For those wondering how the glass roof looks, come on in!

I ordered the dual roof package and with the weather finally cool enough here in Florida, I decided to put the glass roof on. It looks good with the yellow paint job since it adds even more contrast. That's my opinion anyway. I still love the solid yellow roof on my car as well .

Thanks. I haven't been in the car to see how hot it is inside. The glass is tinted very dark but I don't know how much infrared it lets in.

Looks great! ... Love the color.

Yellow is a good color on the C7. Bright colors go good with the new design of the car. The stinger stripe looks very good also.

I saw these carbon flash emblems below in another post. They would look good on a yellow car. And match the rest of the trim on your car.

I hope they have figured out the IR problem. On my C6 I had to get a DSV cover because it became to hot in the cabin with the glass roof.

Default Wow, wow, Wow! Great Looking Velocity Yellow Stingray!

Love the glass roof on the Velocity Yellow with carbon flashed spoiler and mirrors. Great choice and it will be my choice as well. Glad you posted some pictures! Helped make up my mind. Was thinking of arctic white and blade silver as well but Velocity Yellow will be my order.

Very nice car. Well done with class. I never liked my "glass" roof. It cooked me in the summer Pennsylvania. Maybe they make a shield to snap in. As I said other then the heat..that car is HOT!

I had a glass roof in my 2005 C6 and now in my new C7. I actually love it and looking up through that blue tint is really nice. I live in FL and really don't find it that hot but don't forget, there is always that A/C you can click on.

Can the OP or anyone else please take a wide angle pic from inside looking up through the transparent top?

For those of you that get to hot or the car gets to hot, why not get the roof tinted? I did this in the past and I have done it on every car with a sunroof I have ever owned. It makes a bored of difference and if the shop is good you can't tell there is tint on it.

Default there are filters and shades

back in 07 i bought a form fitted dark film to fit inside the clear roof panel. works excellent, but blocks all the light. there was a perforated one available that let in some light and someone made an opaque panel held in place with suction cups.
sorry, i don't remember any of the makers. maybe someone else out there has a memory.
i would think a window tint operation could give you a 20% tint inside to cut down on the rays.

They (C7)both weigh 16lbs...which is much lighter then the painted roof for the C6 which is 31lbs! Very simple in and out. When I order my C7, I plan on buying both roofs as well.

it is about 3 lbs heavier. no harder to put on and take off. easier with 2 people or if you're tall.
