Default Did you name your car?

Not all but many of us name their 'special' rides. After I placed my order and visions of her were wandering around in my head I started thinking of what her personality would be like. After some false starts I settled on the name "LoLa". After owning more than a hundred cars lifetime and this being my 1st Vette, I knew she'd be special and have attitude. I wasn't far off the mark. I just looked her name up in urban legends. I'll add that she has good DNA and is exhibiting ZERO anomaly's.

LoLa
This is the type of girl that once she’s in your heart she’ll stay there for ever; she’s everything a guy could ever want/need. She fascinates you by her stunning looks and great personality, her voice creates a sense of happiness, every time you hear that voice it leaves you speechless, astounded and most of all so so happy. She has these most magnificent pair of sky blue eyes which gleam out and shine, making your heart warm and feeling very much in love. You’ll find yourself on your toes with this girl, she’s full of excitement and surprise, she’s a challenge but not a bad one. This girl is hard to come by, if you’ve got this girl you’re the luckiest guy in the world, as she’s truly perfect. Once in love with her consider yourself locked, her superlative qualities and personality will put you off all other girls for life, as there is no one else like Lola.

Obviously you're not in love with your car yet!

Every car should have a name. Lightening (fastest car in town), Tank (big cadillac convertible), ..... they all have a soul of their own and all should have a name. In 3 weeks I will be naming my first corvette.

I used to work at a company where everyone named their trucks, and that lead us to all naming our cars. Since then all of my cars (and my wife's cars) have had names. I guess if you have never done that it could seem pretty strange, but after you have named your cars for years, to just call it some generic model name makes it seem like you don't care much about it - and a Corvette is not a car that anyone should not care about.

I am already working on a name for my C7, even though it will be while until I can get it. This will be my first Corvette too and it will be very special for a lot of reason!

No, I don't name my cars.

But about 2 months ago, a group of us (including wives) were sitting around a local watering hole discussing the C7. Someone asked me if I planned to name my car. I said I was going to name it "BJ" because I always wanted one. My wife just about killed me.

That's funny. With all due respect to the others...I can't name my car other than to say "I'm taking the C7 out today instead of the Benz".

Agent Coulson agrees with your choice of Corvette name.

"Lola" from Agents of Shield.

Default Side note

Only slightly off topic but it's my thread so I can if I wanna .

I was at the DMV day before yesterday and they approved my prestige tag name, I guess it means I'm legitimately OCD :

Hell yeah. I named all my dragons from Clash of Clans "Gary". Reason being, they die often in battle and it's too hard to remember 100s of names. Then I thought to myself how badass Corvettes are... kinda like the dragons. So now my car's name is Gary. Made sense to me! FTW!!!

My P.E. Vert is named "Boudicca"--the red-headed warrior queen.

My "09 Z06 was named "Rose", for obvious reasons.

My '05 Vert is named "Bertha Blue Butt".

So, I guess I do name cars.

Umm... NO. Names are for animate objects (with the one exception of boats).
