Photoshop request: Front bumper fangs
Could somebody please photoshop out those hideous fangs GM put on the bumper? I'm curious to see what it looks like without them.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I looks "cleaner", but it also makes the front end less edgy. You kind of need some edginess in the front to balance out the aggressive *** end. I don't think removal is the answer, I think proper enhancement is the key...

I really like the fangs. As with everything else about the C7, if you haven't seen it in person, you haven't really seen it. The fangs add a styling element that enahnces the Stingray motif.

People might as well get used to them because they will be coming to a car near you....

I like them too. I first noticed them on my wife's 2014 Impala (see photo) and when I later saw them on the Stingray, I thought they were an intentional common styling theme for Chevrolet.
Now I see that they're showing up on other brands of new cars. It seems that something else is going on here. I suspect it's some kind of current or future European regulation that may also be down the road for us here in the US.
Look at the range of brands that these things can be seen on.

My understanding is that they are part of the aerodynamics

The point of the fangs is to hit your ankles so a pedestrian would fall onto the hood as opposed to being hit up higher on the leg and pushed over/run over.

or where the fangs are blended with a full frontal splitter
Outside of GM, there are plenty of examples of sedans I could post up where they don't need "fangs" to meet the new EU regs.

Last thing I want is some pedestrian damaging my hood or windshield!

Out of everything I don't like about the C7, the fangs were at the bottom of that list.
But after seeing it without them, it does look much cleaner actually. No fangs, black out grill, and body color hood vent and I'd actually really like the front end.

And I think if you hit a pedestrian and cause any serious injuries, and his insurance man is worth anything at all, and he realizes that you 'removed a part of the car that 'might' have lessened the pedestrian's injuries' YOU'RE GOING TO PAY THROUGH THE NOSE'!
