I was told they will be run through GM's dealer's auction and will be available through the dealer's.
GM has done this before, so not new news.
1.Company Vehicle — A unit used by GM or its subsidiaries for business, test, or demonstration purposes. This includes Damaged-in-Transit which are new vehicles that are damaged during transportation, repurchased by GM, repaired, and sold through GM Sponsored Auctions.
2.Customer Dissatisfaction Buyback Vehicle - (RVDC) — A unit repurchased by GM or its subsidiaries as a result of a dissatisfied customer.
3.GM Employee Owned Vehicle — A unit personally owned by a GM employee.
4.Repo — A unit repossessed by the finance company generally for reasons of non-payment of a retail contract obligation.
5.Ally SmartBuy — A unit returned under the terms of a retail balloon note finance contract.
6.Off-Lease Vehicle — A unit previously leased to a Company or Individual.
7.Rental Vehicle — A unit sold or leased to a rental Company and repurchased by or returned to GM or its subsidiaries under a defined program.
8.Special Vehicle — As designated by GM Remarketing.

GM is just going to destroy 20 million dollars worth of vehicles?
I doubt it very highly. Also, one of the cars a GM Design engineer
is driving has Vin# ending in 41 that I saw at Autobahn a while back. They all have vins

The Premier cars also will have duplicate last numbers in the VIN but will have a different 12th digit.

acrace has the right of it. Not all will be sold only the ones that can be economically refurbished and those that can not will be destroyed.
All dealers have an opportunity to bid on these which will be sold as used. Kerbeck's seems to get the lions share so if your regular dealer does not participate in the process one can always contact Kerbeck's. The VIN is not changed so there is way to look at the VIN to determine if the vehicle is a CTF.

I've said it many times....they should sell those cars as $1.00 purchases to aftermarket companies with contractual agreements to build parts and show the car...Ford has done that with the Mustang and look at its aftermarket.
Give it companies like Rocket Bunny, Rauh-Welt, Pratt & Miller, Greddy/Trust, etc....funnel them to companies that typically mod Japanese cars and German cars....bring that younger crowd in.

Platinum Supporting Dealership
I haven't heard anything for certain yet, but I'm guessing they will sell them. Back in December of 2004 we got our hands on 7 of the 2005 CTF cars, but the 2005 was a good month and a half ahead of what the 2014s are so maybe after the first of the year we'll see something.

I realize that you were not asking me but this is what GM says to the dealers..."All vehicles are sold "AS IS"; except for any unexpired warranty coverage under a GM new car limited warranty. All warranty claims are to be handled in the normal manner through the nameplate vehicle division."
