That is really cool. I wondered why Chevy didn't do something like that?

Appeals to me a lot more than the fish.
It's what GM should have done, especially when reviving such an iconic name.

But then again I think most here will agree, it really had nothing to do with with the worthiness or any of that. I had a mid year and although it was a beast on the street with the 427/425, it was hot uncomfortable, and not a fun car to take on a trip. It was just a plain and simply marketing tool.

In my case, I've had a couple original Sting Rays that had the script from the factory. I think those are the cars the script belongs on. The new car deserves the new Sting Ray, imho . . .

Too many emblems IMO. As for me, I would not have any emblem on the fender. Maybe a small Grandsport-like block stingray letters at the very bottom of the rocker panel...maybe. Something like this (with stingray tail under it and the head at the end):

[QUOTE= .... if they were true to there belief, they would have used the Sting Ray wording as in the original mid years rather then the resurrected C3 in '69 with the one word Stingray. [/QUOTE]
I like the script better. Also, the C7 looks more like a C3, i.e, a '69 Vette, than any C2. So, the one word Stingray is more appropriate, IMO.
