Had my first encounter with the C7 today in Vallejo, CA. The Caddy/Chevy dealer there has a loaded Z51 (auto), Laguna Blue with gray interior. MSRP of $75,315. They had two, but sold one yesterday. The salesman was gracious, friendly, and fairly knowledgeable about the C7. I got to explore it, and sit in the driver's seat. I had heard that it seemed somewhat cramped to some, but it was fine from my 5' 10" perspective. Loved the view from the driver's seat...reminiscent of older Vettes with high pronounced fenders. The hatch did take some hand pressure to close, but not an issue for me. I didn't make an offer on this one mainly because I want just the non-Z51 model. Also, I would never pay anything close to MSRP. This one was being offered for $20,000 over. All in all, I was impressed, and will own one in the next couple of years.

Something does not add up. A loaded Z51 for 75K could not be 20K over MSRP.

MSRP of $75,315. Offered for $20,000 over, or $95,315. Hope this clearer.

I think he was saying the mark up is 20,000 which makes the grand total of 95K for Z51 C7

If someone is willing to pay that price, all the power to the dealership.

I cannot imagine myself willing to blow 20K more on a car to have bragging rights in having it a few months early.

Remember the Canada Bill Jones motto - "It's immoral to allow a sucker to keep his money"
