Default Need Opinions for Best Houston Dealer (initial purchase and service)

I am looking at forum dealer and local dealer options right now. I know a few of you live in Houston and just curious to know who you would recommend for the initial purchase and who you would recommend as the best service dealer in Houston?? Just about every houston dealer i have spoken to is at msrp, but i guess the differentiator would be how much they charge for doc fees and TTL. Some were at $350 for doc fees plus taxes and one was at $500 for doc fees plus taxes.

Just curious to know from folks who have bought numerous vettes throughout the years on who they trust locally in Houston. Thanks.

Classic Chevrolet in Sugarland for the purchase. I bought my 2006 from the Grapevine location but they now have a more local dealership. I should get my 2014 built and delivered soon. Joe Machacek is my salesman. I can't recall the doc fee but it is fairly low. $50 or $150. Something like that.

My only experience with Classic was with their body shop. My daughter had an accident when she first moved to Sugarland from college. It was $8000 worth of front end damage. They put a used front on the car charged the insurance company for new parts (which were expensive parts). They also charged for hood insulation they didn't install and painting of parts they did not paint. I think they saw a young girl with out of state plates and took advantage of her. I was fortunate to go there the week after she got the car back to inspect it and get the insurance company involved. I have not dealt with sales or the service dept although isn't the body shop part of the service department but I personally would not trust them or buy a car from them. Just my 2 cents.

I also live in Houston and have a car on order (kind of). Like you said, almost all the dealers are charging MSRP. The trick right now if finding one with allocations. If you want a non-ZL1, you should be good. Good luck finding one that can order a ZL1 right now.

I had a bad experience at Classic. Lone Star talks a lot of ****. Munday did me right.

Ordered mine (Z51 coupe) from Joe at Classic Chevrolet at the end of September.

Seemed like a great guy, supposedly one of the larger volume corvette dealers in Houston. Inital allocation was something like 40 coupes, which is somewhat high.

Regardless, i am on the 2nd allocation list, number 51 total, 11th on the 2nd allocation list

I've been poking around for a C7, just received an email quote $5k over MSRP from Monument Chevy in Pasadena. Quote: "Our 2014 Stingrays have an market adjusted price of about $5,000 over MSRP".

They only sell 2 or 3 Vettes a year. Oddly enough they offered $10,000 off a new VY 1LT coupe in 2010. I ended up buying last year, but not from them.

The guys at Munday have been claiming they can "get an order faster" of a base model; since I'm about 75 miles out of town it would be much more convenient for me to order from a smaller local dealer. If they both have the allocation available, it doesn't seem likely to me that one dealer would be "faster" than the other--what do you think?
