Corvette Station Wagon

Melting Slicks
Article is dated last March and made its rounds here then. I was hoping Calloway would have one to show by now. Be interesting to compare to the other similar extreme wagons like the FF and MB Shooting Brake.

Stupidest idea this year.

I'm never surprised by what old guys with a pocket full of cash will buy just to get attention at the local cruise in or doo wop meet down the street.
It's a disgusting looking creation, but it actually has roots in British roadsters....not a wagon as in family station wagon.

Like I said folks, this design has British roots. Basically, the Corvette was designed originally to compete with British roadsters. If you google a term called "shooting-brake car", you find cars like the Ferrari FF, audi shooting brake concept, bmw m-coupe, etc. the Corvette plays on that concept. The fact they call it an "aerowagon" is what makes it suck so bad. No one wants to see Corvette and wagon in the same sentence. Call it the Shooting Brake Stingray, not the damn aero wagon.
In fact, look at Chevy's Nomad concept from 2004. Anyone see any Corvette influence?

I personally love the Aerowagon design, except for the name. If I had the cash I would buy one to put next to "my" original unmodified C7.
