Very nice
My C7 is scheduled to come off the line on 10/23. Thanks for your pictures. Same as mine except for the 2LT I ordered.
If you happen to have any high res pictures of it feel free to post them.
It will help me pass the time this w/e looking at them.

No dealer plates go out to customers...too much insurance hassle...but sales guy could drive you home and you take him back in other car.

I doubt that you'd find a salesperson at the "courtesy" dealer, which is 3hrs away according to the OP, that would consider making a full day of driving to the customers home. Even if it was their day off, don't you think they would have better things planned then driving for 6 hrs (round trip & ideal conditions) for no pay and maybe a tip for the buyer only?
As far as the "temp" plate, isn't that part of the money you pay for the courtesy delivery? You have to prove insurance and payment, so why wouldn't they provide a temp plate??

I do agree it sounds reasonable that w. the PDI at a local dealer, there maybe should be the provision of temp tag. Maybe it's different by state, and other dealer/salespersons can comment.
