Sales staff at dealerships are notorious for judging books by their covers, Doc. I'd think a 26 y/o physician could have an awful lot of fun with this before getting gray at the temples.

OP, get over yourself. I hope you learn to be a bit more humble. Assuming you went into practicing medicene for the sake of helping people, it would help if you realize you are no more important than anyone else including the nursing staff & patients. Remember, the only legitimate reason to have power or wealth is it gives you a greater ability to help others.

It seems that most of the non-forum dealers we hear about on the forum are all out to gouge people, and have ridiculously bad attitudes toward potential customers. If you are really interested in getting a C7, check out some of the forum vendors.

And you're right, paying over MSRP isn't smart.

How the hell is the salesman know you are a doctor ? But I think any 26 year old should be treated with respect . They don't know your credit history or bank account . But it happens cause they probably get a ton of young people coming in to see the Vette. If they chose one then the next guy coming in goes to the other salesman which might be a buyer. It's a numbers game . Lets face it there are more 40 year old corvette owners than 20 year old owners . The salesperson does not get paid to just stand around and waste time on door slammers or tire kickers .

Hey OP, don't worry about idiot dealers. I buy on average 1 or 2 vehicles a year and always pay cash. Funny thing is when I walked into a Cadillac showroom for the first time wearing a pair of jeans and button down shirt they usually give me that you can't afford anything here look. I skip the salesmen, go straight to the sales managers office and get down to business. The manager gave the sale of my new CTSV to a new salesman who had only been on the job two days.
If you go to a Ferrari or Porsche dealership it helps to wear your Rolex, they key up on a nice watch like a birddog and trip all over each other trying to help.
