Default License plate frame?

Any pics of front license plate on the car? Also, are the pedals metal or rubber? Thanks

GM supplies two different front plate brackets. One that mounts in the front grille, and the other that mounts on the nose, like with the C6.

Photos of both were posted not too long ago.

The c7 venders forum has the licence plate frame that is hidden under the car until you want to flip up your plate. I ordered one for 50 dollars. I haven't gotten it yet. I had one on 2011 GS and really liked it.

Don't know where you are from but any frame that allows the plate to be hidden, manually or motorized, are illegal in TX. Check your state law before buying one. (It's a $200 fine in TX, assuming the LEOs enforce it.)

Don't need front plate in Florida but went to put on my permanent metal plate in rear.
On C6 you have two plastic screw holes at top and two rubber bumpers at the bottom to keep plate off paint. The C7 doesn't have the rubber bumpers so I had to make some to protect the paint behind the plate. GM should add that!

Don't know about front frames, but I got a rear frame from Weathertech...the floormat people. It's really well made and has a thick rubber backing so as not to rattle, since we don't have bottom screws on the rear plate mount. Nice stainless steel nuts/bolts with color keyed caps and composite composition of the frame itself...in black.

Since I have to have one I hope this is the one they ship, not the one above the grill.

You will receive both mounting brackets with the car. The one that mounts over the nose is for people in states that require it to be 12 inches or more off the ground. The one that fits in the grill is about 10-11 inches off the ground. Here is a link to the thread I started a few weeks back about installing the lower one. Hope that helps!

Your Stingray will come with two front license plate "brackets." The one BigJoe posted is supposed to be "decorative" while the one I have posted is the one you're supposed to use if you are required to have a front tag. It has to do with state minimum height requirements. My personal opinion... I'm glad I live in a state that doesn't require the front plate!

I installed my plate today.
If you look closely on the aero plate mount there are 4 dimples where the plate holes match. I drilled small pilot holes and then used stainless steel sheet metal screws to instal plate on aero piece.

Sorry for the people in the states that require front plates. That is one Fugly way to muck up a beautiful car.
