Carbon fiber on a C7... *droooooolllll*
Fellas (and laides), I'm absolutely shocked by how quickly parts are coming together for the C7.
I've seen LMR with a heads and cam package already (470+ RWHP), I've seen Lashway Motorsports with a Nitrous kit on it (made way north of 500 RWHP), and on, and on, and on...
My favorite so far, and I'm a little biased since we helped make them (and they're not currently for sale), is the side skirts Lashway has on their car. (I lifted the pics from their Facebook page.)
So, what other cool "firsts" have you all seen for the C7 already? I'd love to see pics and video.

I agree...amazing how fast the major vendors are stepping up to the mod task! First out of the shoot will get the initial $$$...should be interesting. Just watch out for back alley shops or fake internet businesses trying to capitalize on our Vette Fever. It happened with the C5 with goofy things like taillight seals or flush kits, mats to cover mats, silly decals, etc. The C7 won't be exempt for sure...the vendors know anyone who can afford one, has the extra pesos to individualize it or make it go faster. The markups compared to C5 and C6 will be higher too for the same part...such as exhaust systems, wheels, etc only because the market will respond. Many folks are new to the car, and have no idea what coilovers, loud exhausts, and sideskirts cost just a few years ago.

Although I like the look, very racy, I have to wonder what their effect on aerodynamics and body lift at speed are? No worries if cruising and the occasional 90mph freeway sprint are all you'll see but if you intend to track the car you would need to consider it.

It looks like two versions are going to be available. These (above) and another "sleeker" set that are more tailored to the shape of the car.
Sculpted, if you will.
In looking at them, they don't widen the car in the slightest. They do a great job of showing off the silhouette of that sexy body, though.
You guys are right about the trinkets and trash, for sure. We've all seen it come and go.
If I had a nickel for every set of truck nuts sold... *shiver*

They look odd, IMO, because they are straight across. They need to curve the side skirts in a bit to mirror the curves at the bottom of the rocker-panel. They look good on the C6Z/ZR1 because they mirror the design of the rocker panel on those cars.

Ssshhhh... you didn't get pics of the sculpted prototypes from me. (Note the shadow shape on the floor.)
One of the cool things is they've got jacking puck provisions built in so you don't lose the ability to get the car off the ground.
Oh, and has anyone been able to get their hands on a Z51 spoiler? It seems that some of the parts have been pretty scarce. Compared to the ZL1, which was available in body form for a basic Camaro even before the actual car was on the road, these are much harder to come by.

It's one of those things where not everyone likes the same things. Me? I like the wider skirts. I like how they flatten the car and accentuate the sculpted lines by filling it with the carbon.
On the other side, I can see how it might be too wide or aggressive for some people, making the sculpted pieces more attractive to them.
Dif'rent Strokes to rule the world, I supposed.
