LS2 wheels, so the C7 should have a 50+ hp advantage based on the C7 dynos so far.

Hmm, a stock-ish LS2 can't hang... Now for a vid of an LS3 and a C5 Z06 vs the C7...

I'm not worried being a happy owner of a LS3 Vette.

....I never race!!

With my mods I have the same power as the stock C7,............. anyway, ALWAYS somebody is faster.

The dash in the non carber trim look kinda plain too.

Not a C7 hater....................just can not get past the tail end looks.

AND if I had the money I get a Turbo "P" car anyway.

Just in a confrontational mood this morning, nothing personal to the happy C7 owners.

Enjoy your rides

PS

One thing I am very impressed with is the stated corner ability of the C7, top shelf performance.

Well I have 3 points to make. One, was that C6 even trying? Second I've read almost every road test of the C7's and only Edmunds came close to the GM advertised 3.8 to 60 & 12.0 flat in the quarter. Most of the tests averaged over 4 secs to 60 and 12.2 to 12.4 in the quarter. Guess what? My 06 A6 LS2 with a CAI only runs those numbers all day long. Now I'm sure after some C7's get broken in their times will get better but showing different "rolls" is stupid. Is this a bakery? My final point is this. The C7 should beat an 8 year old car with 60 less HP and torque and if not then the C7 should hide his head in shame. Until someone really tests these on a "track" not a highway you'll be able to see a real comparison.

Dude, the C7 is a better car than your C6 and my C6...Get over it lol

Its no big deal, really. No sense in all the C6 guys getting butthurt about the fact a new generation is better than the previous. I, for one, am glad it is! I would be highly disappointed if it were only "as good" as the C6...

Also, I was gonna say something was seriously up with that C6, but judging by the wheels, as said that is an ls2 car, and no idea if it has base, or z51 gearing. No surprise with the outcome.
The C6 looked beat up to me. Whatever was on the inside front window hanging down it looked like a hooptie car to me!! The C6 modded, NO WAY. Even with an LS2 at 400 HP should of been more close of a race then no race at all. That C6 looked beat to me, just sayin'......

It finally puts the debate to rest. The stock C7 smokes a modded C6.
That is all that has to be seen.

First off that was the quietest "exhuast" I have ever heard on a C6. The C7s stock exhaust blew it away. Probably a stock LS2 with an A4, man I hope a C7 can pull away from one of those

I'd like to see a C5 Z06, LS3 C6, and C7 all run... LS2 C6s are dogs

Well I have an LS2 A6 that will get sideways on the first to second shift and runs right with my friend Mustang GT that has a Vortex Supercharger on it with 405 at the rear wheels, and the only thing done to mine is ARH Hi-flow cats X-pipe and a K&N Filter.

The comparable Vette to a C7 is a GS, not a tired and old LS2 .

Actually for the C6 to stand a chance, someone needs to bring the MNL LS3 C6 narrow body to come and play. The GS is much slower in the quarter due to weight issues. If we were on a road course, yes, get the GS

I, for one, am very surprised that the new gen would be faster than the prior gen. If it wasn't, who would buy a new Vette? I think an LS3 would be a better match. Albeit, it would still lose.

I would BET, based on what we seem to know now, that a 40 to 160 pull between an LS3 manual non-GS and a C7 would be pretty dang close.

Based in part on my suspicion that the C7 has more aero drag than the C6.
