Escort 9500CI install options
I am having my Escort 9500CI installed and needed idea's on where to put the display and control module? I was thinking in the hole behind the Nav screen. Any thoughts?

How much total is something like this installed?
I've never had a detector before!
Will everything be hidden!
If you did put it in that compartment, guess Police can't see it from behind? Sounds like good spot!?

hey Jordan .. please let me know what you decide. My 9500ci will be installed in my C7 also .. car's not here yet (about 2 more weeks, I'm hoping) - so haven't had a chance yet to "study" the install option locations. I'm interested in what you decide to do.

I will keep you updated. Should be installed by the weekend.

For the controls I'd want to keep them within easy reach, so maybe in the floor of the center console armrest cubby - seeing as its too small to fit anything else anyway. For the display I'd opt for the single light stealth display and put it somewhere in the dash cluster, with the regular display hidden away.
This is actually why I'm going with a K40 system - to avoid the large display and wired controls. I've seen installs on other cars where they put the LEDs under the HUD glass so they reflect up like the rest of the hud - completely stealth - especially with the wireless remote, just toss it in your pocket.
The main thing I'm working on right now is plotting out the best way to integrate the sensors with the car so that they can't be seen - the last thing I want on my stingray is a bunch of black boxes sticking out.
Probably not use the K40 laser and instead go with the blinder ones - smaller sensors so easier to hide.

Just curious where you installed the display and control interface. I am considering the 9500Ci for my C7 as well. I've used K40 stealth detectors for the last several years and always installed the LED's in my AC Vents. This passport unlike the K40 has components that need to be installed within reach which certainly complicates things.
Also would love to know how you like the detector. If you have any pictures of you install, I would love to see them including how the laser devices and other components were mounted in the front of the car.

Would you by any chance mind posting pictures of where you installed the laser modules and radar detector in the front grill?
I'm installing mine hopefully by this weekend and not sure how it will fit in the front
thanks
