Default White/Red C7 w/Z51 & Hash Marks

Well here are 2 pics of the new baby. I added the red hash marks myself. A whopping $20 & purchased straight off of Ebay..... a little patience and an exacto knife, and PRESTO!

if you put it on the web, you are asking for remarks...sooooo

no thanks, I have hash marks on my camaro and love them, so I'm not adverse to the look....BUT....these conflict with the black side vents and why I won't do it on my C7...the whole front end now is too "busy"

I like the concept just don't like the execution. Maybe a more aggressive angle and just a tad thinner.

I'm not usually a fan of any type of stripes b/c I think they are mostly tacky and take away from the beauty of a car but this is kind of ok for me. I still wouldn't do that on my own though.

Btw, you have two beautiful cars and great colors too!! How do you like the new Range Rover Sport? I'm loving the new Range's!!

You have two of the hottest cars on the market today. I know they are both going over sticker in my area.

You made your C7 look like a C6.

I think it looks better without the hash marks.

But congrats anyway. Enjoy.

Neat, however the I think the headlight length precludes getting the stripe angle forward-enough, and ducking under would make the stripe too squat.

Now, I'm not against fender hashes...

...but I just don't think it really works with the C7. What the C7 demands is something that accentuates those hard lines on the fenders and something to ease the passage of the vents to the body colour. Something like the concepts behind the 1982 Collector Edition paint job brought into the 21st century. But then again, perhaps not...

All the same, it's yours. You like it, keep it, enjoy it!

While I agree with some of the forum members that the area around the hashes is a bit busy and the angle doesn't quite line up well with everything else, I think the splash of color they add makes a perfect visual upgrade on the car, so it gets a from me.

Looks good OP! Does your car have a black gut or red, either way the combo goes great, well done!

Good job on execution, but I believe they take away from the flow of a car that already struggles a bit with cohesiveness. I think the color combo of white with black accents looks really good and makes the car look balanced, but the stripes add an unnecessary complication. This is a case of less is more in my opinion.

- (my 2 cents and IMHO) hash marks on the c5, c6 and now the c7 do not seem to flow very well - too far back on the wheel opening. they do look at home on the c4 though.

I would have preferred that the angle match more closely to the angle of the side "gills" but how far back the headlight stretches and the way the fender is cut made that impossible.

I could have raked the angle slighty more with thinner stripes but I prefered the look of the thicker stripes. If I had angled it back much more the back stripe would have ended at the bottom of the drivers door rather than the top of the fender.

I appreciate all the comments. The beautiful thing is that they are easily removable if I get tired of them.

Also the interior is red so I think it really ties all of the cars colors together. That splash of red on the hood really pops IMHO.

In regards to looking like a C6 now sorry I STRONGLY disagree. Hash marks aren't a C6 thing they are a Corvette thing. I suppose a 2013 GS looks C6 looks just like a 1996 GS C4?......

And yes I like that little Range Rover too. I got it for my wife at the same time I got the C7. You can't tell in the pics but it also has black wheels and we got matching license plates too. Yea, yea....I know....but I love her dearly
