That would make sense as it looks like overall design of the C7 was inspired by the GTR.

At the risk of gaining the wrath of anyone, my take on this would be as follows: If someone wants to change the back end of the C7 to have round lights, let them. The beauty of owning a Corvette or any car for that matter, is the fun of making it your own and what you like. RPI should make the kit to allow the folks who want to change, the ability to change.

Um, they have CURVES resembling a circle, speednet . Pretty sure a square consists of (4) 90 degree angles and has ZERO curves. I would call them circular more than I would a square and certainly they should be on what is the new C7. Nice call on the squircles MikeMaj82 though to appease the nit pickers.

Team Owner
Remove four screws and the covers come off exposing the round tail light lens.
The 1958, 1959 and 1969 used the same tail lights as the 1956 and 957 except they added the cosmetic covers.
1956 & 1957 tail lights.................
1958 through 1960 tail lights.............
Because they tinted the outer cover red, they went with clear lenses.

Honestly...
Haven't seen ONE actual C7 rear end round tail light conversion. Not even RPI has had the guts to do it and put up a real picture. I'm sure someone will do it eventually will but the idea that we will see it here on CF7 is debatable.
Did that sound like a double-dog dare??

agreed
totally agree, thanks for saying it
These poor guys (RPI)....
After literally thousands of posts bitching about round tail lights being gone, they try to MAKE round tail lights (for a C7), and for their trouble, get HOSED/BELITTLED/CALLED NAMES for doing it.
They should re-name this place "Sybil Forum".

great post
couldn't agree more
..... The C7 may be awesome on many FRONTS, but the rear sucks a$$. I haven't met one person who has liked it yet. Change is a part of life as well as is adaption to change. Corvettes through the years have had their flaws, be in it in horse power or just looking bland in general. Many a person agrees with me (perhaps not on here that I see, but the public in general) the new C7 rear end is a rear hororshow on the eyes.

The C7 is angular; round taillights would be out of character for the new generation. Let's face it, no matter whether you agree with the new lines, putting the old rear end on the new car, would be an aesthetic mistake.

2014 Camaro loses the now Vette Tail lights
Well looks like Chevy got tired of hearing about Camaro tail lights on the new C7 Vette. Check out the new tail lights on the 2014 Camaro? Now the back of the Camaro looks like a Honda?
Vette keeps the unique "Sinister" tail lights and Camaro loses them!
